All monies raised for our charity account is used to help people in need. People needing financial assistance also other organisations at home and overseas.

During this year we raised funds doing events such as; Beer Festival, boxing day dip, Tombola, Paint Run proceeds from these and other events enabled us to make donations to Lions charities & projects plus other organisations as well as providing finance for community related services & activities within our area.

To raise money from the local community by holding fundraising events. To finance and run a minibus adapted for the disabled and seniors. To assist local organisations and individuals with donations. To support Lions International Programme in supporting major, national and international relief for incidents and to include both nationally and internationally Sightsavers and Water aid.

Barwell & Earl Shilton Lions Club are part of the international organisation of "Lions Clubs International". We serve our community of Barwell, Earl Shilton, Stoney Stanton, Sapcote, Stapleton, Thurlaston & Croft. Our objectives are to help our community & international projects through fund raising, service work, and welfare projects. We seek new & enthusiastic members from our local community

Supported disabled swimming gala, British Heart Foundation, arboreetum, coping with cancer, girl guides, scouts, community mini bus, Xmas gifts for people in hospital.

Donations to local, National and International charitable causes. Providing a day out at the Fair for special needs children and adults. Sponsoring young people to pursue educational/humanitarian expeditions.

ORGANISING AND MANAGING FUND RAISING EVENTS

Supporting local & international good causes. Concentrating our main efforts at local level - youth - the elderly - those in need and support the minority groups.

General charitable purposes. Education/training. Medical/health/sickness.

We hold 'can' collections for our own funds at a number of local supermarkets and also collect on behalf of other charities ie Children in Need, Marie Curie. We have a fun day in the summer in conjunction with Redditch Borough Councils Green Fair. Other charities may set up a stall to fund raise and promote themselves. This is usually held at the Arrow Valley Park in Redditch in June.

Fundraising continued with golf day, corporate party night, christmas draw, santa claus grotto, street collections, etc. Donations made to individuals and organisations, christmas hampers to senior citizens, panto for handicapped children, local schools,British heart foundation,Macmillan cancer care, U K armed forces memorial fund,Scunthorpe church of England school,Girl guides ,Boy scouts.

Raising monies for the general good of Bury and those ticked in boxes 201-207.

Raise funds for charitable donations, make grants to individuals and organisations and provide support or charitable activities.

Part of Lions Clubs International. The organisation raises money for good causes.

The Charity provides grants towards the purchase of equipment and services for local individuals and organisations unable to obtain assistance from any other source. It will also work with other charitable organisations to raise funds or make donations to worthy causes or individuals.Each is assessed on its individual merit. The Charity also supports the Lions Clubs International Foundation.
