Supporting Scouting in Torbay to aid the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual development of young people so that they may take a constructive part in their local , national and international communities.

We provide adventurous activities and personel development opportunities for young people aged 6 - 15 years. Also management of community centre providing social and recreational clubs and activities.

To provide Scouting activities for young people between the ages of 4 and 18 and to people between 18 and 25, and to provide support and training for the adult leaders.

The provision of support to 13 Scout Groups within Shire Oak District all in accordance with the Scout Association's Procedures, Organisation and Rules.

The aim of the Scout Association are to encourage the spiritual, mental and physical development of young people through a training programme of games, instruction and fun.

Full Scouting activities in line with Scout Association guidelines

The Groups four sections, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorers are for children aged between 6 & 18. Activities include sailing, kayaking, powerboating, rowing, swimming, hill walking, camping, archery, lifeskills and many more which are contained within the Scout progress awards.

THE CHARITY IS A COMMUNITY HALL USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING A VENUE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS TO HOLD THEIR PARTICULAR EVENTS, CHARGED BY THE HOUR. IT IS HOME TO THE BRANDON & BYSHOTTLES TABLE TENNIS CLUB, THE 5TH DURHAM SCOUT GROUP AND A BINGO GROUP AS WELL AS HIRING ROOMS TO SLIMMING WORLD, A DANCE SCHOOL, INTEGRATION TRUST AND THE DURHAM SOCIALIST CLOTHING BANK AND FOOD BANK.

Activities comensurate with the rules and guidance of the Scout Association.

SCOUT GROUP

The provision of Scouting activities for its young members aged 6-25 years old in accordance with the programme of the Scouting Association together with Scouting in the Bury St. Edmunds district.

Barnsley District Scout Council exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. This includes the supervision of scout groups in Barnsley district and the management of a scout campsite.

Provides the organisation and financial support to Scouters, in order that they may provide Scouting activities for the youth of Copthorne Village and surrounding area.

Running a local youth organisation, namely the Town's Scout Group and management of the Scout building which is also one of the town's community facilities.

COORDINATES ACTIVITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE MEMBERS OF FOURTEEN SCOUT GROUPS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE COUNTY ADMINISTRATION FOR THE SCOUTING MOVEMENT

Following the Aims and Objectives of the Policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association

The charity takes in neglected, ill and abandoned animals, mainly sheep & goats, and rehabilitates them with the aid of vets.The charity also educates the public in animal welfare by means of open events, public visits from animal sponsors and visits from local community groups, e.g. scouts.
