Supporting the efforts of Rotary International in the fulfilment of the Object of Rotary, Rotary's mission, and the achievement of world understanding and peace through local, national, and international humanitarian, educational, and cultural programmes. We hold 'can' collections for our own funds at a number of local supermarkets and also collect on behalf of other charities ie Children in Need, Marie Curie. We have a fun day in the summer in conjunction with Redditch Borough Councils Green Fair. Other charities may set up a stall to fund raise and promote themselves. This is usually held at the Arrow Valley Park in Redditch in June.

Organisation of charity events (eg. golf day, entertainment events, street collection, etc) to raise money for local, national and international charities. Youth activities: Youth Speaks, Young Chef, Young Photographer, Christmas Story competitions, School Reading Partners, etc. Organisation of Tenterden Town Carol service and Town Christmas Tree. To apply both capital and income of the trust fund to and for the relief of the poor and needy or for such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object as the Rotary Club of Sidmouth in duly constituted meeting shall from time to time direct.

General Charitable Activities

Fundraising continued with golf day, corporate party night, christmas draw, santa claus grotto, street collections, etc. Donations made to individuals and organisations, christmas hampers to senior citizens, panto for handicapped children, local schools,British heart foundation,Macmillan cancer care, U K armed forces memorial fund,Scunthorpe church of England school,Girl guides ,Boy scouts.

All funds raised are donated to local, national & international charities and other good causes either directly through the club or in conjunction with The Rotary Foundation.

Organise events to raise money for a wide range of people or events to provide activities, enjoyment for disadvantaged people. Make collections to raise money for causes in UK and abroad. Provide assistance both financial and in other ways to help people in need.

Fund Raising Events

The principal objective of the charity is to undertake fundraising activities and to distribute the monies raised to a range of local charitable organisations, to Rotary Foundation and through Rotary International and Rotary District appeals, to a range of projects including world disasters and famine relief.

Fund raising through various activities in the South Wales area. These include organised raffles, where the appropriate local authority licence is held.

Charity club raising funds to help the local community

Charity 1030958 is a rotary club of 10 members meeting weekly to arrange fund raising throughout the year to provide financial assistance to local and national beneficiaries at the discretion of the club. Assistance is also given by the members to other clubs and local organisations in carrying out their own charitable works.

During the year Deal Rotarians have raised over £6827 and have distributed over -£8829of these funds among 16 worthy causes both at home and abroad.
