The charity is a village hall which provides a meeting place for local groups eg mother toddlers group, yoga class, whist drives, dominoe groups, WI, parish council, show committee meetings.

To educate and support women in rural communities

Provision of a Village Hall venue for local events provided by the village hall committee, regular events through local institutions (Womens Institute etc.) and local residents independent hire (Parties, wedding receptions etc.).

Undertake activities to enable women interested in issues associated with rural life, to improve their education in citizenship, public questions, music, culture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare and to improve rural life.

Lechlade Women's Institute is part of the Gloucestershire Federation of Women's Institutes. We provide women with educational opportunities, take part in a wide variety of activities and campaign on issues that matter to us and to our community

We provide a venue in the village as a gathering / meeting place for many of our areas organizations, societies and clubs. (Most notably the Cricket, Horticulture, WI, Classic Motor Cycle, Model, Youth Clubs, Mother & Toddler Group, plus Community Social Club). The Social Club provides a popular venue for family celebration / anniversaries, a compact as well as large social centre for our village.

Education & Training for Women. Helping the local community and supporting local activities

To educate and promote interest in astronomy and allied subjects, through scout groups, schools and other groups such as round tables women's institute etc. and to provide a meeting place lecture room and equipment for the use of both members and general public.

WI Activities

The charity provides and maintains the building for community use (it is used various clubs for all ages and for cultural purposes such as bellringing, Women's institute, crafts, community fayres); the building is also used as an election station.

Meet once a month in local village hall, where we have business meeting, speakers, and refreshments.

TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR WOMEN.

To bring together the women of Llandybie and to encourge them to under take activities that they would otherwise never do

WE HOLD MONTHLY MEETINGS FOR OUR MEMBERS AND A SPEAKER IS USUALLY PROVIDED. A LITTLE FUND-RAISING IN THE FORM OF PROVIDING CREAM TEAS FOR LOCAL EVENTS AND ORGANIZATIONS.

Our charity's current activities include talks on educational, cultural and scientific subjects. Visits to cultural and heritage sites. Involvement in local community activities.

Education and Social Activities for the benefit of the Local Community

To inspire women and girls to give them the opportunity to develop new skills and put them into practice also to advance the education of women and girls for the public benefit and to advance citizenship, social and policical education locally, nationally and internationally.

Provision of community facilities for use by local clubs and organisations.We Maintain the Rimington Memorial Institute for the use by village organisations e.g. Bowling club , Table Tennis club , Snooker Club , W.I. and hold social events e.g. bands , talks to raise funds to maintain the building .

WE TRY TO RE-INFORCE INHERITED SKILLS, LEARN NEW ONES, AND PUT THEM INTO PRACTICE, SHARING THIS KNOWLEDGE WITH MEMBERS AND OTHERS, THEREBY HELPING TO IMPROVE AND DEVELOP CONDITIONS OF RURAL LIFE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES OF THE WI, WITH A LOCAL FLAVOUR. MEMBERS ARE REPRESENTED IN LOCAL COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES, HELPING ON COMMITTEES, ATTENDING MEETINGS AND REPORTING BACK ON ISSUES WHICH MAY BE OF L

To enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life, including arts crafts and sciences,to improve & develop conditions of rural life. To advance education in citizenship, & other cultural subjects & in agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare. Women are given the opportunity to work together to put into practice the ideals of the organisation.

We do not provide any financial assistance - only provide the building & facilities for local organisations etc to use. As there are no other shops/pub/school in the village the hall is the 'hub' of the community & used for many functions including W.I., childrens parties, karate, bowls etc. We are an 'emergency base' for the parish councils new emergency plan (storing generator/food/lighting/blan
