Normal WI programme

To educate women to enable them to provide an effective role in the community,to expand thier horizons and to devlop and pass on important skills.

Monthly talks, theatre visits, educational visits, walking, drama, reading group and craft activities

Providing a centre for social engagement and activities and organising courses of instruction, lectures, and other educational activities. Avening Women's Institute does this by organising speakers and demonstrations, craft sessions, and other training on topics of interest to its members. It also takes part in village activities as an organisation, which also promotes community integration.

The usual range of WI social and charitable activities,eg meetings,lectures,visits and demonstrations.

The Womens Institute movement is based on the ideals of fellowship,truth, tolerance and justice. It is non-sectarian, non-party-political and is a registered charity.

Tir Iarll WI seeks to give its members the opportunity of working together through the organisation and putting into practice the ideals for which it stands.

we provide women in Stanwell Village and its surroundings with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, take part in a wide variety of activities and campaign on issues that matter to them and their community

TO CARRY OUT ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE OBJECTIVES OF THE WOMEN'S INSTITUTE GENERAL CONSTITUTION

Educational and Social activities for members. Work in the community.

Undertake activities to enable women interested in issues associated with rural life, to improve their education in citizenship, public questions, music, culture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare and to improve rural life.

Womens Institute - for providing social and educational meetings for local women

Rackheath WI meets on a monthly basis. We have eleven meetings per year with a wide variety of guest speakers, a Birthday meeting in April and an Annual Meeting in February. We hold a Christmas celebration in December.Other activities include regular walks, outings, educational and recreational, both local and further afield.

Annual donation to local charity.

Meet 1st Thursday in the month. Visitors welcomed, WI business discussed briefly, followed by a speaker. Outings are arranged to places of interest, walks, bowling, shows. Support is given to local events by providing tea/coffee.

We hold an annual party for Senior Citizens and fundraise for various charities by carrying out a number of activities such as Carol singing, raffles, etc.

The Hall is used by village groups including Women's Institute, Morris Dancers, Keep Fit and Yoga classes,Cricket Club, Parish Council, All Saints Church. The Village Hall is in use most days/evenings of the week by the groups mentioned above, plus being hired to others for social and activities.

Maintains village hall for use by local groups for education, sporting, WI, dancing and Friendship.

Social - Educational - Public Affairs

Hall hire to community groups and for private functions. Surgeries for police community engagement. MP's surgeries. County Council outreach workers working with young adults, Womens Institute Slimmers World Senior Citizens every month, Holding social functions.Allotments Association Private parties. Jumble Sales, and Table Top sales Open days IT & Discos
