St Mary's WW WI is based in the London Borough of Bromley and its activities, although concentrated in the local area, follow the main purposes of the NFWI which are:to advance the education of women and girls for the public benefit.to promote sustainable development for the public benefit.to advance health and citizenship for the public benefit.

Education/training

We are an Institute belonging to the National Federation of Womens Institutes and belong to the Cheshire Federation of Womens Institutes. All of our members live in the Wirral area and our meeting place is Bromborough Civic Centre, Bromborough, Wirral.

We received a ·10,000 lottery grant of which ·7,048 was used by December 2009 and ·547 on 19th May. The rest was then returned to awards for all.

Mostly educational - monthly speakers. Denman College (W.I.) whole range of subjects, health, painting, cooking, crafts etc. computer skills, sport, drama.

Education, training, participation in WI national campaigns and friendship through social and community events

Arts and crafts, music and drama, handicrafts, health and social welfare, education improve and develop conditions of rural care. It seeks to give women the opportunity of working together through the Women's Institute Organisation, and of putting into practice those ideals for which it stands.

Monthly meetings. Twice monthly craft group. Drama Group. Choir. Catering for village activities. Theatre and cinema trips. Coach outings for shopping and to heritage properties.

Womens Institute activities. Informing members and lobbying parliament about current issues i.e. environmental and contributing efforts to local causes.
