Providing social and educational activities to members of institute.

We provide regular meetings and activities, educational and recreational, for all women in our area. Everyone is welcome.

Village functions. Council meetings (parish). W.I. meeting. Upholstery classes. Childrens parties. Church functions.

Education and information on national and local topics.Meetings including speakers.quizzes and outings.Support for local community projects(not financial).

Further the education/knowledge of members by way of speakers and visits to places of interest. Fundraising to support this educational activity and also in support of local charities that give support to our local community.

EDUCATION AND ACTIVITIES FOR OUR MEMBERS, MONTHLY MEETINGS WITH A BROAD RANGE OF SPEAKERS, READING GROUP, LADIES WHO LUNCH - ALL OUR ACTIVITIES ARE OPEN TO ALL OUR MEMBERS.

Village hall is used by a number of organisations and individuals as a meeting place. It is regularly used by over 40 people per week and as a venue for church functions, local School, the Womens Institute and other community organisations, local doctor's advice centre, skittles, bingo, local choir etc. Display boards provide information on local planning issues and local business.

Our members meet once a month for a social evening or to hear a speaker. Our monthly agenda is signed. We are non profit making and support the Womens Institure.

Education

We are a W.I. situated in Tollesbury, Essex.

Feltwell Womens Institute is part of the National Federation of Womens Institutes. Our monthly meeting takes place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. During the meeting like minded women are kept informed of local & national WI activities, enjoy social time, informational speakers & demonstrators & often arrange other events & outings for the members.

WE PLAY A UNIQUE ROLE IN PROVIDING WOMEN WITH EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND THE CHANCE TO BUILD NEW SKILLS, TO TAKE PART IN A WIDE VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES AND TO CAMPAIGN ON ISSUES THAT MATTER TO THEM AND THEIR COMMUNITIES

Supporting local activities as well as promoting our own W.I. e.g. local fete, quiz evenings etc.

Objects of Townswomen's Guilds "To advance the education of women, irrespective of race, creed and party so as to enable them to make the best contributions towards the common good. To educate such women in the principles of good citizenship. To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for such women in the interests of social welfare and wit

Provides a meeting place for all members of the local community,for example gardening club, Womens institute, local churches, parish council. Can be hired by any organisation or person who agree to abide by the rules set out by the committee for the letting of the Hall.

The main purpose of the Women's Institute organisation is already lodged.

To enable women to improve and develop conditions of rural life, to advance their education in citizenship, in public questions both national and international, in music, drama and other cultural subjects and in all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare.

We are a Women's Institute Group who meet once a month in a local Community Centre Hall
