The main purpose is to enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life, including arts, crafts & sciences, to improve & develop conditions of rural life, to advance their education in citizenship, in public questions both national & international, in music, drama & other cultural subjects & in all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health & social welfare.

Bringing Education and skills to the members and to provide a regular support group to all members

Provides education and insight into arts and culture in the form of speakers, classes and outings reaching members throughout the Sandhurst area

The activities of the charity are: book club, coffee mornings, outings. Monthly Meetings with educational talks and a social time.

Supports local community. Helps further education within community. Supports resolutions to government to try to improve climate change. Environment & other areas - different resolutions submitted yearly. Provides meeting place for local people to air their views.

Bringing together women of various age groups to campaign and educate in order to enhance their lives and the lives of their family and their community.The WI annual programme includes, Yoga, performing arts, choir, kitchen band,various craft activities and monthly speakers covering a vast number of subjects.

Demonstrations and Talks to Educate and entertain

Operate in Rotherham area. Hold monthly meetings with speakers and provide opportunity for women to learn and meet in a safe environment. Take part in local village activities, eg cake stall at village day.

Support of members of the Institute, the local and wider community.

Members meet together for talks and various social activities. We meet with other W I s within our District and/or Federation for social activities, talks, demonstrations, and workshops connected with subjects such as home economics, arts and crafts, sports and leisure, performing arts, science, health and social welfare.

Monthly meeting of female members which is addressed by a speaker . We have various speakers on many subjects including, Behind the scenes at Chelsea, Tai Chi, and musical activities

Voluntary support by our members to other local groups.

Fund raising by jumble sales, quiz nights, whist drives

education/training.amateur sport.environment/conservvation/heritage. recreation.

Educational outings. Monthly meetings, Supporting & providing Meals for Saltburn-in-Bloom.Joint organisation of Annual Saltburn Craft & Produce Show. Tree Planting.

The WI holds at least eleven meetings a year, with educational speakers or activities. Our WI also has a Table Tennis Group, who play weekly.
