The objects of the Association are the advancement of the mental, moral and physical welfare and development of school pupils through the medium of swimming.The Association shall have the following powers:a) to teach swimming, diving ,life-saving, personal survival and water safety to children of all ages.b) to promote and arrange competitions as the Association deems necessary.

The W.O.A. commemorates the life and work of Wilfred Owen, poet. It maintains memorials and plaques, promotes educational conferences, visits, tours, bursaries and concerts. It publishes a twice-yearly journal and awards a biennial W.O. poetry prize. It runs a website, answers student requests and has close links with its sister organisation, the Siegfried Sassoon Fellowship.

Providing grants to young people aged 16-25 who are resident within the Borough of Rugby and a propose a travel project with educational or charitable objects.

The charity manage the museum in Manningtree which is open to the general public, runs meetings and exhibitions to educate on the local history. The museum also organises history walks for schools, local groups and foreign school children. Maintains a large archive of local photographs and publication and family history information.

Brookfield Association is the Parent/Teachers Association for Brookfield House Special school. The school looks after children aged 3-19 with a wide range of physical disabilities, learning disabilities, complex medical needs & hearing impairments. A rural youth movement for young people aged between 10-26 years. Members can gain confidence and get valuable skills in drama & entertainments, public speaking, sports competitions, stock-judging and cattle showing, dancing. Life skills are learnt by arranging and conducting meetings, social events an fundraising.

We provide communication aids for children and adults who have lost the facility of speech. On average we help 6 individuals per year by purchasing equipment. We raise money ourselves by fundraising in the community as well as receiving charitable donations.

The charity relates only to anyone resident in the parish of Nether Denton, Cumbria and can grant aid to either individuals or organisations to support the education of children of the parish and their general development (whether through school, college, or voluntary organisations). Grants can also be made for the prevention and relief of poverty and for community development.

To provide children with additional needs and their siblings / family a day out to remember, starting with a ride out in a Motorbike and Sidecar to a local place of interest, including Theme Parks, Zoo's and more. To help carers and families by providing them with a days outing, thus hopefully improving their quality of life. To raise funds throughout the year, to make the day happen.
