Friends of Townsend (PTA) raises funds for the School through a number of activities such as School Fairs,dances, quiz nights, Theatre trips, raffles, for the benifit of the school and the local community.we provide help to the school financially and assist with a number of after school activities where parent/ carer help is needed.

The Wembley History Society has been established for over 60 years. We hold monthly meetings, social functions and visits regarding the hisotry of the area. The Maritime Youth Group is a small independent charity. Aims are: To advance skills in the area of education and learning among local residents and surrounding areas and to provide or assist in the provision of facilities for the training and development of young people who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances.

To promote the relief of Deaf people and their families, and to create opportunities for Deaf individuals to come together as a society, fostering community and reducing isolation. To raise awareness and understanding among the general public about the challenges faced by the Deaf community.

The charity provides support for cancer patients and their families and organises meetings and talks (by surgeons, oncologists and Cancer related services) every 2nd Thursday of the month at Marie Curie Hospice Solihull, B91 2PQ. Counsellor's are available on hand if needed. Telephone support and up to date information is also offered.

The charity's activities are to promote, maintain, improve and advance education through Theatre In Education and appreciation of the arts. Arena tour devised and scripted plays, mainly to schools, reaching audiences who may not otherwise have the opportunity to see live performance.
