Provision of day nursery services for under 5's in L B Islington

FORWARD is an African women-led organisation working to end violence against women and girls. From female genital mutilation and child marriage to domestic and sexual violence, we tackle abuse and discrimination, enabling African women and girls to have the dignity, health and equality they deserve. We provide training, advice, support, research and advocacy to shape policies and programmes.

Pre-school, enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age, offer play, education and care facilities.

Provide training and employment for people with learning disabilities by running a cafe and gift shop in Chorleywood, Herts. People with learning disabilities will undertake supervised training in the cafe and gift shop allowing them to gain essential work experience and to work alongside others. Following such training, support will be given to obtain sustainable employment in the community.

Ashinaga Association in the UK provides financial support to orphaned students from sub-Saharan Africa for undergraduate degrees in the UK, along with leadership training and support to develop scholars into compassionate change-makers. This work is part of the Ashinaga Africa Initiative, an international leadership programme that cultivates the next generation of young leaders for Africa.

As a charity and through partnerships, we provide parental engagement programmes to support UK primary schools. Our programmes support parents, particularly those in disadvantaged areas, by providing them with videos and activities, through our inclusive online platform. We also lead the Parental Engagement Forum; a group of organisations mobilised to improve home learning across the sector.

In essence we provide welfare and education services to the Chinese and other ethnic minority communities. Detention Action is a national charity that aims to change the way that migrants are treated by immigration detention policy in the UK. We defend the rights and improve the welfare of people in detention by combining support for individuals with campaigning for policy change. Detention Action was known as London Detainee Support Group until May 2011.

House of Light is a perinatal mental health Charity offering support and counselling to parents' pre-conception to post birth who are struggling with mental health difficulties following pregnancy, birth and in cases of loss, miscarriage, termination and stillbirth. We do this via one to one counselling, group and one to one peer support, telephone and email support.
