It aims to reduce offending, re-offending and anti-social behaviour whilst improving social mobility and community cohesion. Its services are targeted at young people who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. The charity aims to achieve its objectives through mentoring and participation in boxing programmes.

Ners highlights the need to carry out further research in areas of communities' relations and issues of citizenship and the feeling of belonging. Indian Muslim Welfare Society (IMWS) is based in Batley, West Yorkshire. IMWS ownes a 4 1/2 acre community enterprise centre called AL-HIKMAH CENTRE. IMWS offers education/training opportunities, healthy living initiatives, sport/recreation/childcare/women and youth facilities. The centre is an ideal venue for conferences/weddings and other events and attracts over 200,000 centre users each year.

SCVS is an umbrella organisation offering support including training to voluntary organisations in Swale and as an accredited volunteer centre offer a volunteer brokerage service. We operate a volunteer transport scheme providing transport for older people and those with disabilities who are unable to access public transport scheme and a befriending scheme for older socially isolated residents.
