Founded by the recorded music industry in 1989, The BRIT Trust works to promote diversity and inclusion in the UK by empowering people of all backgrounds through music and the creative arts. The Charity's area of benefit is the London Borough of Islington where, through programmes of pro-active grant-making, the Charity's aim is to help those who are sick and poor and to support twenty seven Church of England churches.

Gingerbread (National Council for One Parent Families) is the national charity working with single parent families to understand their challenges and ensure that their needs are met. We provide expert information and advice, membership and training opportunities. We campaign against poverty and stigma to promote fair and equal treatment and opportunity for single parent families.

The charitable trust owns and maintains a substantially restored medieval castle. This facility which is open to the public all year round includes a gift shop, heraldry centre and a cafe.
