We rescue horses and ponies that have been abandoned, neglected or abused and ensure that horses and ponies have a sanctuary for life mainly through our network of knowledgeable carers, advancing the education of the public in all such matters. Equines with more complex needs are cared for in our peaceful sanctuaries. Our Equine Assisted Services enable us to help people in need.

Sands vision is a world where fewer babies die. Sands works to ensure that, when a baby dies, anyone affected receives the best bereavement care and support for as long as they need it. Sands offers a free UK helpline and network of support groups, works with healthcare professionals to improve bereavement care, and involves bereaved families in research to save babies lives.

To support indigenous and tribal forest peoples to promote their collective and individual rights, secure their lands and manage thier natural resources to build their capacity to carry out actions for the long-term relief of poverty and to educate policy makers and civil society about their concerns and aspirations.
