Hertfordshire Community Foundation has five main areas of activity: * Development and management of charitable funds * Grant making * Capacity building, community support and cross section liaison * Research * Other services relating to the development and delivery of philanthropy.

SafeLives, formerly known as CAADA is a national charity supporting a strong multi-agency response to domestic abuse. SafeLives provides practical tools, training, guidance, quality assurance, policy and data insight to support professionals and organisations working with domestic abuse victims. The aim is to protect the highest risk victims and their children.

The College's mission is to promote excellence in the practice of pathology, and its primary concern is to patients and the public. As indicated in the Royal Charter the aims are to (1) advance the science and practice of pathology (2) further public education in the field of pathology and (3) promote research in pathology and disseminate the results.

To develop specialised living services & day vocational/life skill opportunities for people with Autism Spectrum Condition whatever their need. To provide support and advocacy services for people with ASC and their families & carers. To identify and represent all people with ASC in Medway & Kent. To work with people to understand what they want and to stimulate local services to meet their needs.

GRANT MAKING

HARP's mission is to end homelessness in Southend. We provide a range of emergency and longer term supported housing alongside training, support and motivational activities. Through our advocacy and advice we prevent homelessness for those at risk of becoming so, and we address the root causes for those who are already homeless, thereby helping local people overcome homelessness for good.

Makes grants to charitable projects and organisations (particularly Japan House London) and carries out activities which advance the culture (both traditional and modern), institutions, people, heritage, history and language of Japan.

The charity is an independent grant-making organisation created to benefit the public in general by making grants to selected charitable organisations that work in the broad areas of disadvantaged young people, homelessness, refugees and asylum seekers, education and access to opportunity. Applications for funding are by invitation only and we are unable to respond to unsolicited proposals.

The Centre's mission is to improve the lives of people experiencing homelessness by ensuring that policy,practice and funding decisions are underpinned by robust evidence.

The charity undertakes a number of key activities. These comprise:1) Ending Homelessness2) Research and Development3) Social Enterprise4) Funds for Grant Distribution5) Membership and Campaigning

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT & BUSINESS & PROMOTE ITS STUDY.TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FOR PUBLIC BENEFIT OF: PRESERVATION & PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT, PRUDENT USE OF RESOURCES & PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE MEANS OF ECONOMIC GROWTH. TO PROMOTE ETHICAL STANDARDS OF CONDUCT & MAXIMISE THE POSITIVE IMPACT & MINIMISE THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF BUSINESS.

Charity exists to promote horse welfare. In UK through rehabilitation centres where horses can be returned to health ; Field Officers investigate welfare concerns and give advice.Overseas by working with communities and local bodies to provide equine and other skills to help working horses.Internationally by campaigning for improved welfare and an end to long distance transport for slaughter

The Trust's primary objectives are the presentation of The Historic Dockyard Chatham, the most complete 18th Century dockyard in the world, and the education of the public in its historical, architectural and arcaheological importance.

SignHealth aims to improve healthcare & access to health services for deaf people. As well as campaigning, research & health promotion, we provide supported living schemes and outreach for deaf people with mental health problems. We provide a national Advocacy & Counselling service and support for deaf victims of domestic abuse.

The charity supports the Podmoskovny Lyceum, a boarding school for 168 socially deprived children, situated outside of Moscow, Russia, and provides grants for student scholarships in Russia and the UK.

AS SPECIALISTS IN END OF LIFE CARE, OUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS THE CARE AND SUPPORT OF OUR PATIENTS, THEIR FAMILIES AND THEIR FRIENDS. THIS TAKES PLACE IN BOTH OUR EXTENSIVE COMMUNITY AND WITHIN OUR PURPOSE BUILT HOSPICE. EDUCATION AND RESEARCH ARE IMPORTANT SECONDARY OBJECTIVES IN OUR WORK, AND LIKE OUR PATIENT CARE THEY ARE SUPPORTED THROUGH OUR FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES AND OUR HIGH STREET SHOPS.

Enabling the development of young people through the provision of supported housing, youth work, counselling, advice and guidance and health education.

In relation to its "Beneficial Area":1. To promote conservation, protection and improvement of the physical/natural environment.2. To implement recreation/leisure solutions which enhance social welfare in the community.3. To advance public education in environmental/sustainability issues.4. Via a social enterprise, contribute to wider national strategies on crime reduction.

Providing advocacy and support in the community for women and children experiencing domestic abuse and sexual violence, and women who are involved in the criminal justice system and offending.

To advance the conservation of wildlife and wild places in Norfolk for the public benefit and to advance the education of the public in the principles and practices of sustainable development.

A grant-making charitable trust, established to support the work of charities, organisations, and individuals working to effect change and create a more equal and sustainable future.

These are membership services, policy and practice, publishing and training, advice & mediation work, information services and consultancy and projects.

To promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the environment by the preservation of The Piece Hall as a historic building and advance the education of the public in arts, sciences and history.

The London Community Foundation makes a difference to the lives of Londoners by connecting people who need help with those who are willing to give. That's what we do. Child poverty, unemployment, isolation, homelessness, domestic violence and gang crime are just some of the issues we are tackling through our grant making.

TRAID is an environmental and poverty relief charity. TRAID reduces landfill through; the provision of textile recycling facilities, its charity shops and upcycled clothing. Funds raised go to environmental and textile related international development projects and TRAID's education programmes developed to gain greater recycling participation and empathy with the issues surrounding global poverty.
