The object of the Association is to relieve cardiac patients who are sick; convalescent; disabled;handicapped;infirm or otherwise in need of assistance and to generally support the charitable work of the cardio thoracic unit at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield by the provision of of specialized equipment not normally provided by the Local Health Authority.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND MENTAL DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH SAILING

We support deaf and hearing impaired children living in the boroughs of Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and Chesterfield and the surrounding areas of South Yorkshire.We hold regular events for children of all ages ranging from babies to age 16.These events give the children the opportunity to meet their peers.Parents and siblings can also share their experiences to offer help and advice to others.

Greenacre School Association supports pupils within the school aged 2-19 with special needs by providing grants for additional facilities, equipment and social activities over and above that provided by the school itself. The charity seeks to ensure that no pupils are excluded from any activities due to their personal circumstances or financial status.

To raise and administer invested funds to create an income for the long-term support of the worship and ministry of the Church of St Helen, in Athersley in South Yorkshire, for the benefit of all who live in its parish.

Pays out 30 widows in the area of Darfield Near Barnsley, once a year

The relief of suffering and cruelty to animals, in particular horses, donkeys, sheep and cattle, who are in need of care and attention with the object of restoring them to health and rehabilitation. Educating others in animal welfare.

To improve, protect and preserve for the benefit of the public, the country town/village of ECKINGTON & DISTRICT.

Twice monthly meeting with a variety of subjects:- speakers, slide shows, choirs and outings to places of interest. We help members to keep abreast of new ideas and legislation.

We aim to improve the lives of vulnerable individuals and families within our communities by providing practical, emotional, and social support to those facing hardship and disadvantage. We believe that every person should have access to the resources, opportunities, and support needed to achieve a better quality of life and contribute meaningfully to their community.

Provide financial assistance to local schools

Provision of annual prizes for Penistone Grammar School scholars and annual payments to five Charitable Organisations nominated in his Will by the late Jack Penney deceased.

To save dogs from Council pounds, have them neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and rehabilitate and rehome them..To encourage volunteers to walk the dogs in our kennels, for the dogs benefit and the associated health benefits for the volunteers;To provide advice, support and awareness about dog care to anyone who needs it and to promote responsible dog ownership.

Provides scholarships for the musical tuition of young choristers to develop in these choristers a love and knowledge of the liturgy and music of the Church of England, thereby helping to ensure the future of Church music and the choir of St Mary's Worsbrough Village.

Provide support to local educational establishments

To provide for the theatrical education of young persons resident in Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire who are members of an operatic or dramatic society affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Asssociation and to make grants to assist in disbursing the cost oftheir attendance at Theatre School Courses or Study Groups.
