Our activities include: regular public worship open to all, the provision of sacred space for personal prayer and contemplation, pastoral work including visiting the sick and the bereaved, the teaching of Christianity through sermons, courses and small groups, taking of religious assemblies in schools. We promote the whole mission of the Church, through the provision of activities for all ages.

The vast majority of the funds in this account relate to funding we receive from our Diocese to use for capital building works in and around the school and spending on computers. The rest is school uniform related/fund raising by pupils for charitable causes/school parties/small donations etc.

Founded in 1985, Lake District Music has consistently pursued a clear policy of bringing to Cumbria an annual festival and professional summer school of quality and purpose centred principally, but not exclusively, on chamber music.

Maintain the interests of the regiment and antecedent regiments by providing welfare and benevolence support to serving and retired members of the regiment.

The charity awards grants to those organisations in the North West of England who the late Doreen Greenlees wished to benefit via the trust contained in her will. This includes organisations committed to the welfare of animals, the maintenance of the fabric of and structural alterations and additions to buildings used for Christian worship and alleviating poverty through Christian social welfare.

Provides for the welfare of people with disabilities living in and around Craven, North Yorkshire and assisting them to integrate into society. We operate 8 minibuses with full disability access including wheelchair lifts. We collect them from their homes and take them to Doctors & Hospital appointments, Dentists, Shopping etc.

The Centre, West Cumbria is a Ewanrigg based charity that provides creative and social opportunities for everyone to connect, learn, and grow. Our vision is of a community that helps each other walk through doors of opportunity. By providing creative and social opportunities we will grow a community that creates positive change, improving life chances for individuals and future generations.

Manna House works for the benefit of the public in South Lakeland providing advice, advocacy and a drop-in support centre for those who are homeless, vulnerably housed, lonely or needing help. The Charity also offers a range of activities to develop life and employment skills to enable service users to become active members of the local community.

SUPPORTING OTHER CHARITIES IN THE UK & OVERSEAS FINANCIALLY & WITH PRAYER

Sponsored events, collections, raffles, auctions, fetes and various other fundraising activities to support the work of the school, education of the children of the school and to foster a spirit of cooperation between the school, parents and the local community.

The charity operates a childrens day nursery in Barrow-In-Furness.

Blue Sky Trust:1. Supports and connects people in the North East and Cumbria at every step of their HIV journey through the provision of one to one support, peer mentoring, peer support, education and events.2. Empowers young people to make safe, healthy relationship choices through creative educational workshops (Think 4 Yourself) in schools and youth settings.

We organise and host charitable fundraising activities including Trampoline Sessions, sports activities, activities for vulnerable people within our community and activities and support children and adults of all abilities, social backgrounds and of any race or creed. Our aim is to support the community in which we are located, but to also support the wider public where possible.

Preservation, restoration and operation of (mainly) road vehicles. Study of road & rail transport of Workington, West Cumbria and further afield. Running fund raising events including community free heritage bus services.

Independent living for the elderly

Provides daily out of hours and weekend voluntary free courier service to NHS in north and west Cumbria for collection and delivery of blood ,tissue samples, files and instruments between sites and daily delivery of blood to Great North Air Ambulance at Langwathby. We also have standby cover for emergency urgent courier runs including relay through Cumbria for long distances transfers.

PAC provides therapeutic interventions for young people aged 6 to 25 presenting with emotional, interpersonal and mental health problems and challenges often with associated learning disability. By delivering this preventative work young people address their problems before they escalate, they re-engage into education or employment and live more positive lives within society.

CDEC PROVIDES TEACHING RESOURCES, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING FOR SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS IN CUMBRIA. THIS INCLUDES GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP, SCHOOL LINKING, MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION, OUTDOOR LEARNING, CHALLENGING PREJUDICE AND RACISM, CRITICAL THINKING AND ENQUIRY.

The Phoenix Youth Project delivers centre based, and outreach youth work sessions for 8 - 19 year olds in Cleator Moor and Frizington. We run two youth centres, delivering ten evening sessions each week including Friday Night sessions. We provide young people with various activities, trips, opportunities for learning and development as well having fun.

Aspatria Dreamscheme is a Youth & Community Development Charity who deliver several different project in the heart of the town. We offer sessions for young people, vulnerable women, men in sheds, hobbyshare, a community food pantry and many other activities throughout the school holiday periods. We are soon to open our community kitchen and arts and craft center.

Be Me Project provides support for a wide spectrum of people ranging from young people in secondary school to younger women within our communities. It delivers courses and one to one sessions that encourage positive mental wellbeing, confident mind-sets, inspiring people to be uniquely themselves and raising levels of self esteem and resilience.

Shackles Off provides groups, informal education, support and activities for children, young people and the local community. These activities take place in Copeland for the benefit of those living in this area.
