The Parish of Whitehaven PCC has responsibility for co-operating with the incumbent, in promoting in the parish then whole mission of the church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. It has maintenance responsibilities for St James' and St Nicholas church building and St James' Community Centre.

St. Mark's PCC has the responsibility of co-operating with the Priest in Charge, the Rev Tony Ford, in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish the whole mission of the church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. It also has maintenance responsibilities for the church buildings of St. Mark's Church, Barrow-in-Furness.

Moore Arts: Millom was established to promote and advance involvement, participation and access to the performing arts and associated art forms, especially for young people, in the North West of England but primarily in Cumbria and in particular, Millom and it?s surrounding areas. We offer a range of activities for ages 2+ including drama, dance, drumming, technical theatre and many more.

Low cost hostel accommodation for groups including schools, students, family and friends etc. Educational facilities with a large classroom, used by local primary schools.Dark Sky accreditation, runs Dark Sky events. Off-grid and supports sustainability. Power is from a hydro electric scheme, and heating is from a biomass boiler using wood locally sourced.

We run a recreation ground and swimming pool and promote it for the benefit of inhabitants and visitors to Greystoke and surrounds, in Cumbria. We operate an open air heated swimming pool, with changing rooms and cafe. We also run two children's play areas and the playing fields which are used by the village football team and primary school. We are moving to greener, more sustainable operating.

The charity is for the prevention or relief of poverty, we help children, young people, people with disabilities, other voluntary bodies, and the general public. We provide services, advocacy, advice and we act as an umbrella and resource body for other local charities.

To maintain, develop and renew public acts of worship; provide pastorally-relevant religious ceremonies open to all parishioners; to extend the knowledge of and education in Christian teaching and to provide pastoral care to members of the church parishioners.

Educational Charity providing grants to young people from Hawkshead for further education or for entry into one of the professions. Also providing a museum experience based on the Old Grammar School Building showing how an Elizabethan Grammar school worked.

Rookhow is a 300 year old Grade II* listed Quaker Meeting House and Bunkbarn in the Rusland Valley, Cumbria. Our aim, as well as providing a gathering place for Quakers and accommodation especially for disadvantaged groups, is to be a local community resource as a venue for meetings and workshops. The surrounding ancient oak woodland is a valuable resource for learning and retreat.

To promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for playing cricket and other sports. To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Penrith and surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances
