To run a village hall and to promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Newbiggin and the neighbourhood the provision of facilities for recreation, education or other leisure time occupation of individuals or the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condirions of life of the said inhabitants.

The Charity was created to support primary health care and community health programmes in the Thane district of Mumbai, and elsewhere in India. The medical and community and faith based programmes are conducted through a registered Indian charity operating as the Bethany Trust.

PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE EGREMONT AND LOCALITY AREA OF COPELAND, WEST CUMBRIA. WE DO THIS BY RUNNING YOUTH CLUB ACTIVITIES AT OUR CENTER BASE; THE CORE, CHAPEL STREET EGREMONT AS WELL AS OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND TRIPS.WE PROVIDE WORKSHOPS AROUND RISK TAKING BEHAVIOR .INVOLVE THE YOUNG PEOPLE IN COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES SUCH AS LITTER PICKING.

We help sick children and their families; during transport to hospital, in hospital, in the community and with bereavement support - we work primarily in Cumbria and the North East

The purpose of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. It does this through an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training based on the Scout Promise and Law.

The Grasmere Reading Rooms, is a place where the parishers and boni fide guests have the right to socialise in the bar, play snooker, darts, etc, and the odd music nights, a place for the village to hold meetings.

The hall is used for community functions, operating as a community hub with use by: Skelton village school, local youth, adult and senior groups, meetings, classes etc, as well as a polling station. Its activities include keep fit, theatre, dances, school, church and social gatherings and suppers and is available for private hire for social events. Open to all ages, abilities and ethnicities.

The purpose of the Goodly Dale Cottage Homes is "to provide accomodation for poor persons of good character each of whom shall not be less than 60 years of age (or 50 if disabled), and shall have been born or lived for 10 of the last 30 years in Windermere and Ambleside Urban Districts, Undermillbeck, Troutbeck and Applethwaite.

The Charity manages the Helena Thompson Museum in Workington on behalf of Allerdale borough Council. Through the organising, by WHG Ltd, of Outreach, educational, social, historical and cultural activities, it brings the heritage of Workington and district to as wide an audience as possible

Litfest develops writers, engages readers and audiences, and celebrates literary excellence. We do this through our annual festival and a range of other publishing, development and participatory projects that have positioned the organisation at the heart of Lancashire's cultural and creative activity.
