SVA owns and maintains Staveley Village Hall and Institute, 4 allotments, the Recreation Ground, its Pavilion and Children's Playground for the benefit of the residents of the parishes of Over Staveley, Nether Staveley and Hugill. The Hall, Institute and Pavilion are available for hire. The Recreation Ground and Children's playground are open to the public free of charge for non-commercial use.

The provision of buildings, facilities and open space for the opportunity to play amateur sports, being rugby, football and bowls.

Our service aims to promote the physical and social-emotional wellbeing of young people aged 5-25, through a range of programmes and projects linking them up with their communities. We use social circus as a platform to empower and engage young people while providing youth workers. We facilitate the ideas of young people by training them in project management and leadership.

We offer 24/7 emotional support by telephone, email, webchat and face to face to anyone who is in distress and despair including people who are feeling suicidal. We also do outreach work in schools and prisons and also have partnership with Network Rail.

The aims of the Drigg Charity are to support and enhance community life in the Drigg and Carleton Parish (subsidising social events for young and old, improving the local environment, supporting access to education and skills training).

To provide a Playgroup for children from the ages of 2 years to entrance to the Local Education (LEA) Nursery at 3 years old. The Playgroup concentrates on learning through play and allows children within this age group to play with contemporaries encouraging social skills and an easy transition into the LEA system.

This Charity looks after the Parish of Grasmere Church Services, the Church building and the religious and social needs of the village residents.

We aim to promote education and help eradicate poverty by providing grants to support, nurture and mentor young people in Eldoret, Kenya, who find themselves in situations that result in a lack of parental guidance and consequent emotional and financial support. Such grants enable access to high school education, attainment of formal qualifications and enhancement of employment prospects.

Charity object is the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants & visitors to Shap by the provision of a pool.In accordance with our objective, the charities additional aims are to support the people of Shap & the surrounding area by retaining existing services, promoting health & wellbeing in the community & encouraging equality & diversity.

The Foundation runs the Wordsworth Conference and Wordsworth Winter School and awards bursaries, funded by itself and by donors, to enable postgraduate students and others to attend these events at reduced cost.

Brass bands and musical education in the local area

Makes grants and donations to applicants who must be resident in the Ambleside ward of the Lakes Urban Council, for "Need, Hardship and Distress". Monies for distribution from leasing out of two town centre properties as retail outlets.

YFC has 15 Clubs in North Cumbria.

Plumbland Pre-school operates for six hours every weekday morning and afternoon during term time. All parents attending the Pre-school are automatically committee members. Trustees are elected by current committee members.

Christian church operating on Croftlands estate in Ulverston. We hold Sunday services in, usually in Croftlands School. There are several groups meeting during the week in peoples homes for bible study and prayer. We operate a weekly toddler group and also a lunch club. We provide help to those in need. We seek to spread the Gospel to Croftlands estate and see lives transformed by God.

The charity provide facilities and events for the village and outlying area.
