Great Cross Trust owns and manages the letting of eleven houses in the village of Grasmere, Cumbria.

The charity runs a village hall for the inhabitants of the Parish of Lamplugh and surrounding area

CCYC is a tented camp held at Braithwaite Memorial Institute, near Keswick in the Lake District. It is arranged each year with the express purpose of telling young people about the Lord Jesus Christ. The children come from all over Cumbria and a few from other parts of the country. Some have a Church, Sunday School, Youth Club background but others have never heard the good news of Jesus Christ.

The Hall is used for the purpose of physical and mental training and recreation and social, moral and intellectual development through the provision of suitable rooms and stage for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Burton including Dalton and Clawthorpe without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions.

THE CHARITY EXISTS TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO THE KENDAL BREWERY ARTS CENTRE TRUST LIMITED.

The Trustees organise events which are publicised to the membership for their benefit and to generate funds towards the running of the Federation.

PROVIDE SAILING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. PROVIDE APPROPRIATE VOLUNTEER SUPPORT AND FACILITIES FOR THIS ON EQUAL TERMS WITH OTHERS AND ENCOURAGING INDEPENDENCE. OTHER OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE ALSO OFFERED AS DETERMINED BY THE TRUSTEES.

PROJECTS DESIGNED TO REDUCE SOUTH LAKELAND'S OVERALL GREENHOUSE GASEMISSIONS AND DEPENDENCE ON FOSSIL FUELS; SUPPORT KENDAL AND DISTRICT AS A TRANSITION TOWN E.G. BY ACTIVELY WORKING TO INCREASE ITS RESILIENCE AS A TOWN AND DISTRICT; RECENT PROJECTS HAVE INCLUDED PROMOTION OF CYCLING, ENERGY EFFICIENCY, LOCAL FOOD PRODUCTION. THERE IS A MIX OF EDUCATION AND CAMPAIGNING ACTIVITIES.

Kirkby Stephen Youth Centre is a provision for children from year 6 of primary school to the age of 18.

Provide a parish hall with kitchen and stage for rental by anyone within the parish for the provision of meetings, lectures, classes and parties. There is also an enclosed, grassed field with a play area, wildlife garden and picnic tables.

Financial Support to members on long term sickness

The charity is currently supporting Christian missionary work in the UK and abroad and is furthering the education of young people mainly but not exclusively in Cumbria.

The Windermere Foodbank operates in the area from Grasmere in the north to Grange-over-Sands in the south, supporting the area not covered by the Barrow/Ulverston Foodbank on the west and the Kendal Foodbank on the east. In co-operation with such organisations as Cumbria C. C. Social Services and the C.A.B. we give emergency food to people in need. Periods of help have been increased in pandemic.

This charity has been established to support young people who are in residential care by providing advice, support and therapy and helping them make the transition to independent living by supporting them in finding work experience and training.

Supplying facilities for various local groups to use : Dancing (various), Yoga, Youth Club, Police, Local authority, parties etc.

The main activities are receiving donations and contributions to the fund and providing equipment etc. for the Health Centres in Seascale and Bootle and their patients.

To advance the art forms of mask, mime and puppetry and to promote the art of mask, mime and puppetry through exhibitions, performance, workshops and teaching. Also to have ownership of artefacts and collections relevant to those art forms, to be curated in the charities own onsite museum.

The Shirley Community Chaplaincy( North East) helps,supports and encourages ex-offenders to integrate successfully back into society. We offer counselling,practical support and a range of activities to assist ex- offenders to make the transition out of prison.Activities include; camping,fishing, walking and visits to places of interest. Ex- offenders are encouraged to train as peer mentors.
