The Marchesi Community Centre is a community resource used by many of its members living in the Windermere & District AreaThe centre is used by the whole community.Trips and events are organised and enjoyed by many members and their guests,Various activities include, art, movement & mobility, craft, coffee & chat dancing to name but a few.

A grant giving charity whose objects are limited to those living in Ulverston. Generally the trustees favour grants to groups or institutions for capital items, which will be available for use by more than one person, rather than grants to a group's running costs or to individuals.

Lindale Pre-School cares for children from 2 - 4 years 11 months we serve a rural area and follow the EYFS guidance for 0 - 5 year olds we are open Monday - Friday 8.45 - 12.45 term time only

The charity runs a village hall for the inhabitants of the Parish of Lamplugh and surrounding area

The relief of illness and suffering of all disabled persons resident in a defined local area of Tynedale and beyond by providing, managing and maintaining a Centre for recreation or other leisure time occupation and in particular by providing facilities for competitive and non- competitive sports.

CCYC is a tented camp held at Braithwaite Memorial Institute, near Keswick in the Lake District. It is arranged each year with the express purpose of telling young people about the Lord Jesus Christ. The children come from all over Cumbria and a few from other parts of the country. Some have a Church, Sunday School, Youth Club background but others have never heard the good news of Jesus Christ.

TO PROVIDE MEETING PLACE FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY OFFERING FACILITIES FOR A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES, IE YOUTH CLUB, KEEP FIT CLASSES, SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL EVENTS AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS.

Our Charity has the working name of SLACCtt and has worked to support KENDAL and its DISTRICT as a Transition Town, with education and projects that seek to conserve, protect and improve the natural environment, since 2010. Our activities aim to increase the local awareness of local and global issues surrounding climate change and sustainability, and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

We aim to Educate people about mining at Nenthead and in the North Pennines by researching, restoring, maintaining, owning and exploring the historic and natural features relating to mining,quarrying and smelting. We guide people into an old lead and zinc mine, carry out maintenance of the ancient monument, hold an archive of documents and have a collection of mining artefacts.

Provide a parish hall with kitchen and stage for rental by anyone within the parish for the provision of meetings, lectures, classes and parties. There is also an enclosed, grassed field with a play area, wildlife garden and picnic tables.

The Charity own and manage a collection of free -flying parrots and macaws located at Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria. The collection provides opportunities for the field study of parrots which enhances knowledge of the physiology and behaviour of the birds and assists in the development of conservation techniques and policies.

The fund will make grants to initiatives, events and community projects that benefit the development andregeneration of the community of Barton and Pooley Bridge. The income will be generated by the localcommunity through the sale of pavers on a new bridge and the income will then be put back into the localcommunity through the charitable fund.

Provision of health and recreational activities through the medium of sport for the inhabitants of Haverigg and the surrounding district

The Trustees organise events which are publicised to the membership for their benefit and to generate funds towards the running of the Federation.

Supplying facilities for various local groups to use : Dancing (various), Yoga, Youth Club, Police, Local authority, parties etc.

We accept donations of preloved baby equipment, we then clean & maintain them, then through a referral system we donate to families in need/struggling. We raise funds to support us to be able to provide new toiletries, nappies, formula and maternity items , along side providing new mattresses with all cots, cotbeds, &moses baskets. We work with health professionals, education and social care

Making grants to individuals and organisations to relieve poverty and sickness. Also to support individuals and organisations in relation to cultural events and education.

The object of the Heron Theatre is to present to the public dramatic and kindred arts by means of the production of dramatic, musical and dance performances, films, lectures, and slide shows; and the promotion of other cultural activities in its own theatre and elsewhere. The Heron Theatre is run entirely by unpaid volunteers.

Tigerlily Trust provides specialist support to bereaved parents whose baby or child dies at any stage of pregnancy or later in childhood. Working in Cumbria & Lancashire to advance & protect the emotional & psychological health of bereaved families.Our service provision includes information, resources & support for bereaved parents at their time of loss & ongoing throughout their grief journey.
