Christian church operating on Croftlands estate in Ulverston. We hold Sunday services in, usually in Croftlands School. There are several groups meeting during the week in peoples homes for bible study and prayer. We operate a weekly toddler group and also a lunch club. We provide help to those in need. We seek to spread the Gospel to Croftlands estate and see lives transformed by God.

Provision of village hall facilities for the community to use for sports, recreational, educational, health and meetings. Current activities include Karate, Judo, Kendal Model Railway Club, Judo, Theatrical shows and Woodturning Club.The Hall offers space for business meetings and private parties, and is licenced and can provide a bar. Wi-Fi enabled and an induction loop in the Main Hall.

Operation of a community centre, which provides clubs, groups and a community cafe.

Dobies Charitable Trust supports organisations which enhance the quality of life for communities in Cumbria. For example, local sports teams, health support charities, carnivals etc. The areas which are favoured are those that help disadvantaged families or children.The trust does not support national charities or individuals, unless there is a specifc benefit to the Cumbrian people.

Our current policy is to support young people or voluntary organisations working on their behalf.We seek opportunities where a small grant by us will offset disadvantage and improve future life chances.Grants which help attract other funding will be particularly favoured.Our normal grant range will be in the range of £100 - £3000.

Sea rescue for any living person animal in peril from the sea.

Making grants to individuals and organisations to relieve poverty and sickness. Also to support individuals and organisations in relation to cultural events and education.

Lindale Pre-School cares for children from 2 - 4 years 11 months we serve a rural area and follow the EYFS guidance for 0 - 5 year olds we are open Monday - Friday 8.45 - 12.45 term time only

General charitable purposes within the parishes of Crosthwaite and Lyth, making grants to individuals and organisations, and assisting with environmental projects of benefit to the parishes, as the Trustees see fit.

We provide courses and activities for all members of our community, without exception, and particularly those who are socially, mentally, or otherwise disadvantaged.We also hire out our facilities to other organisations and individuals, who provide activities for the benefit of the local community.

The Charity will be expanding the services already provided to the Community from its base in Warcop Parish Hall.

The promotion of the Christian faith in Kendal and its surrounding areas. The charity was established for Christian worship, prayer, Bible teaching and preaching of the Christian gospel. We seek to serve the local community by providing a place of prayer and worship, Meeting needs of the community and helping individuals in need.

The promotion of steps to improve the breed of stock and encourage home inudustries, improvement to tillage, the management of grasslands and other rural affairs, to organise, promote, manage and conduct for charitable purposes only Agrucultural Shows and exhibitions of all kinds.

Services delivered:- Community Shop; Credit Union collection point; bingo, community activities, weekly lunch service, children's activities, printing, copying and ICT access and support for local residents. We provide valuable signposting for local residents, venue and room hire as a source of income, as well as co-coordinating trips and local celebration events for the estate.

Provision of grants, equipment and services for the patients of the Caldbeck Surgery and others in the locality.

The Scout Association promotes the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local national and international communities, by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership.

The charity provides and hosts social, leisure and health promoting activities. These include coffee mornings, weekly lunches, community breakfasts, an annual village show, keep fit classes, yoga, film nights, history and archaeology society, and various other clubs and societies. The facilities we provide are a village hall, swimming pools and car park.

Our Village Hall provides space for a wide range of activities for the people of Penruddock and district. The hall is 110 years old next year. It occupies a central position in the village. We have gained four grants and two legacies this year to continue the plan of improvements. This will form the remit of the Management Trustees looking ahead into 2015. To provide outdoor/indoor Scouting activities to children between the ages of 5-18 yrs by following a traditional programme.

The Hope Memorial Trust, founded in 1932 operates a 32 bed self catering hostel near Keswick in Cumbria. It provides facilities which enable schools, youth groups, community groups, and families to benefit from the educational and recreational opportunities provided by the Lake District.
