The objectives of the group are as a unit of the Scout Association. The method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership. Organisation of the annual Dufton Agricultural Show

As a management committee our function is to maintain and manage the Dufton Village Hall as a resource for the villagers of Dufton and environs. In order to be able to maintain the hall, we also are involved in organising social events with the purpose of raising funds to maintain the hall.

Providing Guides for access across the Kent and Leven Estuaries on Morecambe Bay.

To provide a social and educational facility for the benefit of the villages of Blennerhasset and Baggrow in West Cumbria and neighbouring communities.

We aim to raise money to assist the families of sick and deceased children throughout Cumbria and the North East of England. We do this by staging multiple events each year, which we encourage as many people as possible to participate in.

To provide an opportunity for young people to develop, to learn and to enjoy themselves by offering a diverse, fun and educational programme of activities planned by members, for members.

To educate the public in the dramatic, musical and operatic arts; to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts.

One Fund provides grants for educational purposes to people under 25 years old and a second provides grants to people in financial hardship. These are restricted to inhabitants of the civil parish of Sedbergh. A third owns a building rented by Cumbria CC as a library,the income can be used to give grants for charitable purposes in Sedbergh and its neighbourhood. A fourth fund owns an almshouse.

The fund will make grants to initiatives, events and community projects that benefit the development andregeneration of the community of Barton and Pooley Bridge. The income will be generated by the localcommunity through the sale of pavers on a new bridge and the income will then be put back into the localcommunity through the charitable fund.

Bright Red aims to improve the lives and treatment of people with blood cancer across the north of England. Through investments in patient care, research and education we are striving to beat illnesses such as leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma myelodysplasia and myeloproliferative diseases.

The aim of the club is to help young people through their leisure time activities to develop their physical, artisitc, mental and spiritual capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and responsible citizens of society.

The Charity's objectives are the advancement of religion in the area of Cumbria and the relief of poverty in Kirkby Stephen and surrounding areas.

Puts on several concerts a year to provide live choral music for people in the Penrith area and to raise money for other charities. Provides choral bursaries for young people who sing with the choir to enable them to continue their music education.Provides workshops and other choral events which are open to members of other local choirs and to the general public

Provision and maintainance of the village hall for the use of local inhabitants without distinction of political,religious or other opinion, including use for meetings,lectures,classes, recreation and leisure time occupations with the object of improving the quality of life for the said inhabitants.

To provide additional resources/activities for the pupils that the school would not be able to finance from their budget.

Stainton Village Hall CIO was created to replace an ageing village hall with a new community services hub for the inhabitants of Stainton, near Penrith, for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances, as well as for the public generally.

Makes grants to organisations in the villages of Hunsonby and Winskill

Scouting for young people aged 4 to 14 in South Lancaster, Lancashire
