Seaton Scout Group aims to serve the village of Seaton and surrounding area with a safebut challenging environment for young people aged 6-25. We provide a structured andprogressive curriculum based on the Scout Association Policies and Ethos, which aim topromote adventure, responsibility, personal development and Fun.

The objectives of the group are as a unit of the Scout Association. The method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership. Main activities in relation to these objects:The main activities for the young people in membership consist of: Weekly Section Meetings .

We provide a centre for all activities in the village and local area

The centre provides a meeting place for the 5 villages which make up the parish of Crosscanonby.It is used by all age groups and has regular activities going on every week. Alongside regular activities we hire the centre out to groups or privately for parties etc. We organise events to suit all age ranges I.e fun days, fund raisers, concerts, whist drives etc.

As a management committee our function is to maintain and manage the Dufton Village Hall as a resource for the villagers of Dufton and environs. In order to be able to maintain the hall, we also are involved in organising social events with the purpose of raising funds to maintain the hall.

To provide a social and educational facility for the benefit of the villages of Blennerhasset and Baggrow in West Cumbria and neighbouring communities.

We aim to raise money to assist the families of sick and deceased children throughout Cumbria and the North East of England. We do this by staging multiple events each year, which we encourage as many people as possible to participate in.

The Grayrigg Institute (known as Coronation Hall) serves as a village hall for the use of (but not restricted to) the inhabitants of the parishes of Grayrigg, Lambrigg, Docker, Whinfell and Patton. Monies received are applied in repairing, improving and insuring against fire the premises and the furniture and effects and in paying rates, taxes and all expenses of carrying on the Coronation Hall.

Organises fund raising activities and events in support of the charitable objectives of Rotary International and of the Rotary Club of Keswick

Help to support missions abroad and at home, and give relief to school and community. Also to reach out to the poor and the homeless.

Organises fund raising events to raise money to supply extra equipment and facilities for the school children.

Bright Red aims to improve the lives and treatment of people with blood cancer across the north of England. Through investments in patient care, research and education we are striving to beat illnesses such as leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma myelodysplasia and myeloproliferative diseases.

Provide facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupations in the interests of social welfare for the inhabitants at large of the parishes of Wetheral and Hayton, Cumbria. It also serves the members of neighbouring schools, educational institutions or the public generally on the invitation of the trustees with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Community building for hire by general public and organisations

The Charity's objectives are the advancement of religion in the area of Cumbria and the relief of poverty in Kirkby Stephen and surrounding areas.

Provision and maintainance of the village hall for the use of local inhabitants without distinction of political,religious or other opinion, including use for meetings,lectures,classes, recreation and leisure time occupations with the object of improving the quality of life for the said inhabitants.

Makes grants to individuals, organisations and institutions in the villages of hunsonby and winskill

To provide additional resources/activities for the pupils that the school would not be able to finance from their budget.

Management of the People's Hall for use by members of the town and by societies and clubs; for parties, for functions, for exhibitions, for meetings, for theatre and film shows.

YOUNG FARMERS CLUB

Scouting for young people aged 4 to 14 in South Lancaster, Lancashire

To provide a building for the use of community groups and for local residents of all ages.

The Trust works to support the promotion of archives,archival research and publications within and for the former historic County of Westmorland (now part of Cumbria County Council since 1974) over and above the provision made by Cumbria County Council.

Providing riding and carriage driving training and holidays for disabled children and adults with disabilities.
