Abbeytown Juniors FC have successfully ran 17 junior football teams for the benefit of the local community. All teams are lead by volunteers, who deliver weekly training sessions and organise games for each team in the local leagues. The committee are currently fundraising to develop and improve our facilities, which will include drainage and building work.

Around 8 social events held each year for parishioners and their friends. Several education classes including music, art & history. Hall can be hired for a range of activities including parish council meetings, art exhibitions, private parties. The main aims of these activities are to maintain and develop this historic building as a focal point for all members of the community.

A musical festival whose objective is to promote high standards in the arts; in particular music and speech in all their branches. An annual competitive festival is held along with school workshops, currently held when it is feasible to do so.

Organisation of the annual Dufton Agricultural Show

To raise funds to donate to St Bega's School, Eskdale to enhance the resources and opportunities available to the pupils

Managing the Dacre Hall (part of the Lanercost Priory complex) as a village-/community hall

To further the study, practice and enjoyment of brass band music in all its forms in order to advance the education and appreciation of the public in the art of brass band music through public performance, training and education in the county of Northumberland and the surrounding area.

Provides a community park for local residents to use which includes woodland, children's play area and footpaths . The charity provides for the upkeep and development of the park utilising volunteers and local contractors where appropriate. The management committee leads fund raising activities to cover the maintenance costs. The funding is provided by grants, donations and fund raising events.

Local church meeting in and serving the needs of the population of West Cumbria

Its object is the promotion of the voluntary sector for the benefit of the public by providing management, governance and other support to small charities and voluntary organisations withing Carlisle and district.

We award grants to children/young people aged 25 and under in our area (Millom to Broughton and Millom to Bootle) to help them fulfil their dreams. Including, college/university students, sports awards, dance and music.

MAKES GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS WHOSE USE OF SUCH GRANTS WILL BENEFIT THE INHABITANTS OF THE PARISH OF MILNTHORPE AND ITS IMMEDIATE VICINITY.

To provide help to disadvantaged individuals and groups within the Eden District, UK and Worldwide where appropriate. We raise funds locally through a number of fund raising events to carry out these activities.

We run a village hall for the benefit of all without distinction of sex, sexual age, disability, nationality, race, political, or religious opinion providing facilities for recreation or other leisure activities.

Running a village hall for the benefit of the local community, giving residents somewhere to meet and undertake a range of leisure activities. Examples of activities include: brownies; dancing/music groups; local history society, toddlers' group, charity coffee mornings, film nights, yoga classes, painting classes, young children's activities, philatelic society and local/general elections.
