The Guide Hall, which is situated in the Cumbrian town of Millom, provides a space for young members of Girlguiding to meet regularly. Here they can make friends, engage in fun and exciting activities, and learn that whoever they are, wherever they are from, girls can do anything. The hall is also available for hire and is regularly used by other groups from within the local community.

Principle activity is fund raising for Morland Area C of E Primary School.

The charity's objectives are to raise funds for the purchase, lease or acquisition in whatsoever manner of equipment for high dependency units at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and for research for the benefit of persons requiring specialised treatment in these units

Guiding activities for girls and women from age 4yrs upwards

To advance the education of pupils by developing effective relationships between staff, parents, and others associated with the school. To engage in activities or provide facilities / equipment which support the school and advance the education of pupils.

Education and Training in Music. Community performances to fund raise and to support other charities. Rehearsal and performance as a band to maintain local traditions.

We are a choir which performs a varied programme of classical music dating from 1500 to the present day in the Craven area of North Yorkshire. Our aim is to advance and develop appreciation and understanding of classical music by educating both our performers and our audience. Our concerts may involve the participation of young players and singers alongside more experienced musicians.

Upon trust to apply the income of the benevolent fund for the relief of poor and distressed brother masons or their poor and distressed widows and children. In addition, for the benefit of such masonic charities or other charitable institutions, societies and objects as the bective lodge of freemasons shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.

The advancement for the public benefit of the study of wild birds and the preservation of their habitats in Cumbria.

Village Hall is available for hire to persons for meetings, evening/day classes, training for CFR groups,celebrations of birthdays, christenings, weddings.It is also hired for fund raising events, voting facilities for local and general elections.

To hold the Assembly Hall, the Sedgwick Room and the associated facilities for the purposes of a Village Hall for the benefit of the inhabitants of Dent and the neighbourhood thereof, without distinction of age, sex or political or religious or other opinions and in particular for use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and occupation.

The Lecture Society provides a series of ten lectures from October through to March. The lectures have a wide variety of content and style. They provide interest and education to the biggest cross section possible in the Cumbria Lancashire area.

The hall is mainly for the people of Temple Sowerby but is open to all. It is there as a meeting place, for education and for entertainment.There is a large space upstairs for 100 people for lunches, dinners, dances, parties, shows etc .There are two rooms downstairs used for meetings and as a polling station. We have Wi-Fi throughout the building . The village school uses the hall often.
