GRANT MAKER

Our PTA helps to raise funds to assist the school in purchasing items and improving the learning environment of the school.

Provision of modest grants to students from the parish of Ravenstonedale who are taking courses in higher education.

Events held by committee members, also available for hire by the general public.

Hall available to all for fund raising activity or concerts, keep fit etc, and all the community.

Our objects are to advance the education and appreciation of the public in the art and science of brass band music by the presentation of concerts and similar activities and also, to provide facilities and equipment for the teaching and playing of brass band music for the general public, but particularly the young.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefits of the inhabitants of Lindale and the neighbourhood thereof, in particular by the provision of facilities for playing bowls.

The charity provides & maintains the public hall in the parish of Great Orton (Carlisle). This is the only venue serving a wide rural community and allows many varied local activities to take place from art exhibitions, wedding receptions, play groups, local government meetings, yoga classes etc.

We provide an emergency medical service by using a defibrillator to help resuscitate a sick person awaiting the attendance of an ambulance

To provide a place for young people to meet, congregate and play. The club also provides opportunities for any young person to go away on residential trips and to participate in many outdoor activities.This club also provides a service to the community, making its premises available to hire, to anyone, providing their activity is safe and legal.

Furtherance of the general religious and charitable purposes of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain, by:(1) providing Pardshaw Quaker Centre for the public benefit as a place of Quaker worship, of spiritual retreat and refreshment, and of education and learning that is open to all(2) sharing with others our understanding of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
