General charitable purposes including providing entertainment and recreational activities to the general public. The charity also provides the buildings and open spaces in which the general public can enjoy their pursuits and activities.

PROVISION OF FUNDING FOR CHARITIES AND CHARITABLE CAUSES WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT

Nenthead Village Hall Committee carry out the upkeep of the hall through voluntary work including general maintenance and cleaning. We strive to raise money through fundraising, hiring out the hall as well as through organising functions offering catering and licenced bars, this helps with payment of annual electricity & heating bills, as well as insurances, licences etc for the hall.

The Hall provides the space and facilities for the pursuit of amateur sports and enjoyment for the general public.

Remembering the Past, Resourcing the Future is an innovative, user-led project to create a web-based community history of 20th century North Tyneside and its surrounding areas, based on the memories of older people. Material collected by RPRF is disseminated to local schools in various forms to support the local history element of the national curriculum.

Maintains and runs a community centre

specialising in small financial grants to small, non national, local, independent charities working in the community.

Educational and other charitable purposes

To provide a village hall for meetings, lectures, classes and other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the life of the parish of Drigg & Carleton inhabitants.To keep the property in proper repair and insure against loss or damageby fire and generally manage the same under the direction of the Parish Council.

Fund raising events including car boot sales, quiz nights, fashion shows, wine tasting and art shows.
