To provide for and advance the education of youth of Bampton

The Trustees of the above mentioned Charities(Kirkby Stephen Grammar School and the Charity of Charles Gibson deceased) shall apply the clear income thereof in promoting the education, including social and physical training, of persons under the age of 25 years who are resident, or who are attending or have attended school, in or near Kirkby Stephen

We fundraise to support educational activities for pupils at Armathwaite School. This includes purchasing equipment and contributing to the cost of school trips/activities and transport.

BARROW CIVIC & LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1985 TO PROMOTE INTEREST IN THE URBAN AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT OF BARROW IN FURNESS.

The restoration and conservation of scheduled monument number SM 34986, being those parts of the Newland Charcoal Iron Furnace Complex leased to the trust. To allow safe controlled access to the furnace by students and the general public.

Provide lectures by visiting speakers on historical events in the area. We are a choir which performs a varied programme of classical music dating from 1500 to the present day in the Craven area of North Yorkshire. Our aim is to advance and develop appreciation and understanding of classical music by educating both our performers and our audience. Our concerts may involve the participation of young players and singers alongside more experienced musicians.

Our primary activity is the relief of acute sickness, in particular cardio-vasular emegencies in conjunction with the North West Ambulance Service.

Receive donations for various forms of participation in the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden and distribute the net proceeds to other local charities operating in the Vale of Grasmere.

To raise funds to support the swimmers of Cockermouth Swimming Club. Any activities which will raise these funds - raffles, bag packing in local stores, applications for local grants.

The income of the charity is used for the religious or charitable purposes connected with the Church and Parish of Scotby in Carlisle.

We educate the public in the area of the North Pennines in the history of mineral extraction and work to preserve, protect, and develop sites of historical interest connected with the industry and in particular, and for the public benefit, co-operate with and assist Durham County Council in the preservation, protection and development and improvement of the museum at Killhope.
