THE ROLE OF CUMBRIA NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH ASSOCIATION IS TO REPRESENT THE MEMBERS AND PARTICIPANTS IN NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH IN CUMBRIA AND PROVIDE FOR ITS SUPPORT AND SERVICES WHICH HELP IT ACHIEVE ITS PURPOSE, AIMS AND OBJECTIVES. IN DOING SO CNWA WILL WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHERS IN LEADING, DIRECTING, PLANNING AND SUPPORTING THE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH IN CUMBRIA.

Relief of poverty. Makes grants to individuals children and old people.

Supports small charitable projects, particularly those which we feel Margaret Cropper would have approved and also promotes the works of Margaret Cropper

Toddler Group for mother and toddlers

The Campaign held an Annnual General Meeting on June 6th 2018 at which the Accounts for the year were presented. The secretary gave a report outlining our activities. We held events which highlighted the importance of buying Fairtrade goods for the producers in the developing world. We wrote articles and gave talks on the benefits of Fairtrade.

The Ginger Heart Foundation (GHF) came into being to raise awareness about the increased risk of suicide in the comedown after taking alcohol and cocaine together. We promote awareness, harm reduction and also offer resources to support health and maintain life. We also support people who are dealing with trauma and grief and provide peer support through our network and organised events.

grant for further education to children whom reside in Plumbland and whom attended Plumbland school. grants for the school to purchase educational material.

The charity is to give financial help for educational purposes to village residents as and when required.

For scholars and former scholars of the school or for the benefit of the school in the discretion of the Governors and the Headmaster

Providing and assisting the provision of education.

Our charity is very small and exists to help individuals who are in need or suffering hardship. We can pay for such items as fuel costs during the winter, car repairs, domestic white goods, help with special needs. The area we cover is Alston Moor

Allotment Society

To advance amateur sport in South Lakeland and the surrounding areas by the provision of coaching,equipment and facilities for sailing. The charity currently owns three 'FEVA' sailing dinghies which are made available for Royal Yachting Association training courses on Lake Windermere.

Womens Institute

Coaching all age groups in Cricket etc.

Provide girl guiding opportunities for girls aged 5 to 18 in the Barrow-In-Furness area

Our aim is to improve the quality of life for Mirehouse residentsThe group organises activities for Mirehouse Residents, to tackle social exclusion, improve health outcomes through activities such as exercise classes , cookery classes and general heath education events held locally . We hold residents meetings, and regular consultative events

Provide an annual church service and meal at Candlemas for widows, widowers and elderly residents
