To provide a venue for social, cultural and sporting activities for the people of Hathersage and Hope Valley.

Providing and maintaining a recreation ground and sports facilities in the interests of social welfare with the aim of improving the conditions of life of the local inhabitants in particular by improving their physical and psychological health and wellbeing.

The object of the charity is the advancement of the Christian Religion. The church supports missionaries in other countries, provides meals once a month for elderly people in the community and supports youth and childrens clubs.

Amateur sports club specialising in athletics

The previous premises managed by the Club burnt down in 2015. A new Hall has been rebuilt and opened in 2022. The Charity manages the Hall as a Community space for hire. The aim is to support a range of community groups and classes for the benefit of the community and to provide opportunities for the youth of the village.

The activities of the charity are to promote an institute and recreational facilities for local inhabitants comprising of Social Club, Football, Bowls and Croquet.

Parwich Memorial Hall is a community facility available for hire for a wide range of activities and events that benefit the whole of the community. The hall is booked for a range of weekly activities including keep fit, pilates and table tennis, an art group, toddler group and is used as a hall by the village lunch and film night.

Provision and maintenance of an open space, to be known as a Millennium Green, for the general benefit of the community

Promotion of musical education

Provision of housing/accommodation for a person in need in Calver, Hope Valley, Derbyshire.Small grants given out to aid the needy of Calver, Froggatt and Curbar.

Provision of sporting facilities

Village Aid empowers disadvantaged people in rural West Africa to improve their own lives.Working through community based partners, participatory learning is used to identify development priorities. Skills and resources are provided to turn these into a reality, programmes include Education, Securing Livelihoods and Access to Justice.

To preserve, promote, enhance the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Canal, for the benefit of all, and to assist the restoration of the Northern Reaches of the canal

THE MISSION OF ACE YOUTH TRUST IS TO OFFER PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO LOCAL YOUNG PEOPLE ON A RANGE OF ISSUES AFFECTING THEIR DAILY LIVES TO HELP THEM FULFIL THEIR POTENTIAL.

Food pantry

The Trustees apply the income of the charity to organisations involved with persons who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm. This is achieved by providing grants to purchase items, services or facilities calculated to alleviate the suffering or assist in the recovery of such persons.Preference is given to applications for persons in need of convalescence.

PDMC supports and promotes the musical development, confidence and enjoyment of young people of school age in an area bounded by Buxton, Bakewell and Hope Valley by maintaining a structure of music ensembles to provide regular rehearsal opportunities; performance opportunities in both informal and public settings; and other enrichment experiences such as residentials, tours and workshops.

Provides general advice and guidance to members of the Chinese community regarding issues such as health, welfare benefits, housing and education. Acts as a focal point for the community to share common Chinese cultural practices and celebrate Chinese culture/ festivals.

Providing care for children before and after school hours. This is open to all junior schools in the local area for ages 4-11.

The provision of suitable means of personal transport for people within our catchment area, who have mobility difficulties, whether permanent or temporary, that enables them to maintain as much freedom and independence as their conditions allow. Thus expanding their opportunities and enhsancing their quality of life

To offer support throughout the area both to those who are themselves experiencing heart or vascular procedures, and to their families to support financially and otherwise all forms of cardiac procedures carried out by the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (Wythenshawe) & to raise funds, inviting and receiving contributions by way of subscription, donation and any other

The advancement of education, and in particular the education of older people and those who are retired from full-time work by all means, including associated activities conducive to learning and personal development.
