Barlborough Civic Trust provides two buildings for school and community use with coffee shop facilities two morning a week. There are a wide range of community groups to cater for all ages from social clubs to various exercise activities for the residents of Barlborough and further afield. We now have a before and after school club in the Little School.

In Christ In School works with children and young people in schools and in the community to give them information about the Christian faith and to teach them good moral principles for their lives.

SCHOOL FUND RAISING

The charity provides a building and facility to enable and facilitate arts, cultural, sporting and recreational activities, catering for children, young people, the elderly and the general public.

1. Rehoming of stray and unwanted cats and kittens in the SK postcode area. 2. Trap, neuter and release of feral and community cats and kittens. 3. Education of the public about cats and their needs.

The Church's tenets of faith are given in its governing document, which is the standard constitution laid down by the Spiritualists' National Union for its affiliated Churches and has been approved by the Charity Commission as their governing document.

Managing recreation facilities including football pitch, cricket pitch and sports hall plus changing rooms and meeting room. Set up management group with main sports users, meet monthly. Raise funds through events such as Santa around the Village, Fun Run, Yard Sale, musical evenings and quizs.

Newhall village hall is run for the Newhall community to enable local groups to run classes such as dancing, slimming and bingo. The hall can also be hired for parties and other local events.

The charity allows its land and buildings to be used by members of the local community for private functions and by user groups for activities including bowls, rugby, football, line dancing, archery and craft classes. It has a connected trading company which runs a licensed bar and which transfers any taxable profits it makes to the charity under a gift aid agreement.

The charity pre-dominantly focuses on educational activities which serves in the main the local community of Derby. Various educational courses are operated across the year.The charity also works with statutory organisation's and other charities in order to sign post services offered by them.

Nottingham Symphonic Winds (NSW) consists of Nottingham Symphonic Wind Orchestra (NSWO) and Nottingham Wind Ensemble (NWE). The groups perform concerts for the general public and help raise funds for other charities and similar organisations.

We run and develop groups for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who live in the Wingerworth area.Each group has weekly meetings in term time plus appropriate activities for each age group, such as weekend camps and introductions to a variety of activities, including sailing and archery,as well as the annual November bonfire. The group is run by volunteers, who will always welcome help from others.
