Provision of Village Hall premises for use by local organisations

To pay net income to Melbourne Gardens Charity Capital Trust for the general purposes of that Trust

We financially support the NHS run Whitworth Hospital (Community Hospital) and Orchard Cottage (Short Break Residential Unit for people with Learning Disability), both in Darley Dale, Matlock, Derbyshire. Items of equipment and larger projects such as car parking and departmental refurbishments over and above those supplied by the NHS are funded by us through legacies and donations received.

To raise funds and donate said funds to organization's that benefit children off ill health or disability.

Making awards for design, planning and architecture which demonstrate the highest quality of buildings and open spaces in Sheffield and its region and thereby educate and inform the public, encourage high standards and promote their preservation and protection.

Make library and other resources available, and offer help and advice to those interested in researching their family history, particularly in respect of records relating to the county of Derbyshire.

As a church, we provide worship, children and youth activities, a foodbank and facilities for other community events.

GRANTING OF BURSARY ASSISTANCE TO PUPILS OF NOTTINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL

The hall is in use for before and after school clubs, clinics for the community, childrens clubs and senior citizens clubs.

The Scout Group provides a balanced programme of activities which offer a wide range of age related opportunities for children between the ages of 6 and 14yrs. We are a co-educational group who accept children from a diverse range of social, economic and cultural backgrounds. The Groups primary objective remains: to provide affordable activities to all young people in the area.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in particular by the provision of services for the sport of running in a club environment.

Trustees meet to determine the funds available for maintenance (incl. insurance contribution) of William Gilbert School buildings. Consider applications for Ivan Wright financial awards from former pupils starting or continuing in higher education courses, or vocational training. Also, requests for financial help for pupils for trips/activities, whose parent(s) cannot afford the costs involved.
