THE CURRENT PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY IS TO RAISE FUNDS FOR LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CHARITIES

A Village Hall used by the local community for a variety of purposes. WI, Playgroup, Gardening Clubs, Dance Clubs, Hall Fundraising Events, Parish Council Meetings, Local Elections,Family Parties etc.

The PTA organises and runs a variety of social and fundraising events for the school community.

We provide specialised vehicle logistical support to our community, NHS and emergency services in times of adverse weather, crisis & emergency.

Activities include arts and craft, games, sporting activities and camping. We organise external people to give talks either on our premises or at their own premises such as Police dog handlers, Police helicopter, RSPCA, Fire Brigade, A drive in a 4 wheel drive vehicle over an assault course.

To organise and promote an open-access arts festival for all genres that takes part in a variety of venues in Buxton and its surroundings.

Interact run a weekly Bible Based group for children aged 5 to 11.We have appointed a part-time children and Families Worker who is in process of developing additional groups. We also work in the local schools.

Providing facilities and events for the benefit of the villagers

Ashgate Hospice - Aqua Boxes for disasters. Rainbow Hospice for children - Rotary Foundation. Mercy Ships - Rotary Polio Plus. Old folks Xmas Party. Kids out for disabled children. Young Chef. Breast Cancer. Heart Foundation , Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, Sight Support Derbyshire, Chesterfield Kidney Association, Sand Dams, Help for Heroes, McMillian, small donations to local people.

We raise money through corporate sponsorship, fundraising events including obstacle runs, family fun days, quiz nights and galas which helps us to provide resources and opportunities to children with life limiting illnesses.

To provide a well-maintained and suitably equipped space for recreational, educational and sporting activities for the benefit of the local community

Promoting the Christian Religion by retailing of Christian Books, Bibles, cards & other Christian literature to satisfy the needs of local people, churches and visitors to the town.

To provide an institute and recreation ground for the benefit of the inhabitants of the local community with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitant

SCHOOL FUND RAISING

THE PROMOTION AND DELIVERY OF COMMUNITY CLASSES AND COURSES IN SHEFFIELD USING QUALIFIED TEACHERS OF WEIHAI LISHI QUANFA. SEEKING GRANTS AND FUNDS TO SUPPLEMENT DONATIONS RECEIVED FROM PARTICIPANTS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A SAFE, QUALITY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR EFFECTIVE PRACTICE.

Trustees meet to determine the funds available for maintenance (incl. insurance contribution) of William Gilbert School buildings. Consider applications for Ivan Wright financial awards from former pupils starting or continuing in higher education courses, or vocational training. Also, requests for financial help for pupils for trips/activities, whose parent(s) cannot afford the costs involved.

Providing support to the homeless and vulnerable in Derby. We do this by supplying them with food parcels, sandwich packs, hot meals, clothes, sleeping bags, toiletries and other items as needed. We currently operate from two large purpose fitted vans three evenings a week.

Fundraising events to raise money for St Annes School, Baslow, through the Parent Teacher Association.

Teaching children Russian language and culture

The village hall continued to be used for the benefit of the community and to run social events and educational courses for the community. We operate an inclusive policy and wish the building to be used by all in the community to benefit themselves and others.

To obtain, preserve and operate a representative collection of historical LMS passneger and non passenger coaching stock for use by and the education of the public.

Our charity is part of the Scout Association.
