A CLUB FOR USE AS A PLACE OF RECREATION AND SOCIAL INTERCOURSE OFEX-SERVICEMEN AND OTHER RESIDENTS IN THE TOWNSHIPS OF BROUGHTON AND BRETTON

To provide a community facility for all residents of Sychdyn and surrounding areas.

Community hands is a charity who offer support to persons or families in need or who are homeless and we empower the community to support each other,we create and seek resources to help them acquire settled lives in the community.

The purpose of the Gwernymynydd Village Centre is to provide recreational facilities for residents of Gwernymynydd and the surrounding areas to enjoy. The charity is composed of trustees who are resident in or have a connection to Gwernymynydd. The charity has taken a 25-year lease from Flintshire County Council to manage and run the Village Centre independently.

We provide a safe learning environment for children from the age of two to nursery age. Children learn through play with a wide variety of activities both indoors and outdoors. They also learn basic social skills while mixing with their peers, sharing toys and sitting down to eat snacks together.

To further the education of the public in the archaeology of the Poulton Research Project and to promote and foster public understanding, knowledge and appreciation of archaeology generally.

Various fundraising events with proceeds donated to UK and International Charities

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in particular for the provision of facilities for the playing of wheelchair sports and the relief of disability through sport by improving the conditions of life of people with a mental or physical disability.

Education and training of members of the public (ages 8+) in the playing and performance of brass band instruments in the area of Northop and throughout North Wales

TO PROMOTE THE AMATEUR SPORTS OF BOXING AND MARTIAL ARTS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN PARTICULAR THROUGH COACHING, PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND ASSOCIATED FITNESS ACTIVITIES. THE AIM OF INCREASING AND ENCOURAGING COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION AMONG ADULTS, CHILDREN/YOUNG PEOPLE AND SPECIFIC USER GROUPS (IN PARTICULAR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES) IN FLINTSHIRE, WALES

The Association works within its local community to support residents of all ages and by reducing loneliness and increasing social cohesion. This is done by running social events and fundraising which finances an independent youth club; a toddler group; and regular coffee mornings. The association also works in partnership with other third sector organisations to enhance biodiversity etc.

To provide disabled children and disabled adults in the Flintshire and Wrexham County areas with the opportunity to ride and to vault to benefit their health and well-being, in accordance with the objects of the Riding for the Disabled Association incorporating Carriage-Driving, a charity registered under charity number 244108.

Through a Management Committee, it runs a community facility for the use of the public; activities include drama, music, dance performances, band practices, Film Club and lectures.

The charity brings people from all walks of life together, to sing, play and perform. It is an ideal setting for so many reasons, it helps people with Dementia Alzheimer?s speech impediments and much more. It brings the young and the elderly together through their mutual love of music, social inclusion for people from the more vulnerable backgrounds now feel valued and have a purpose.

The charity supports underprivileged Families throughout North Wales. By ensuring that all referred Children and Young People/Care leavers, receive gifts to open at Christmas time. Offering a trip to the Pantomime for 100 people during the festive period. Offering Free holidays to families in need of a break, in our fully disabled adapted caravan on Hafan Y Mor, Pwllheli.

CONCERTS ARE GIVEN BY INDIVIDUAL CHOIRS WITHIN THE NORTH WALES FEDERATION IN SUPPORT OF LOCAL CHARITIES WITH THE BENEFIT OF PROMOTING MALE VOICE SINGING FOR ALL AGES WITHIN LOCAL COMMUNITIES. CONCERTS HAVE BEEN HELD RECENTLY AT BOTH BANGOR AND WREXHAM WHEN SMALLER CHOIRS COMBINED TO GIVE CONCERTS TO LARGER AUDIENCES IN SUPPORT OF LOCAL CHARITIES.

The promotion and encouragement of Family History research in the area.Production of a quarterly journal.Provision of a programme of lectures and visits of interest to the society.To seek out, transcribe, index and whenever possible publish or make available material relevant to the interests of the society

The Charity provides assistance towards the cost of education,or for specialist tools or equipment necessary to pursue a vocation, or to encourage or nurture a specific talent (ie musical instrument), for young people under 25 years old, living in the qualifying areas. Exceptional talent is encouraged and assistance is considered with courses that entail exceptional expenditure.

We deliver items, goods or services to people in need who apply to the charity. We operate in an area centred on Chester, Cheshire. We look to promote and encourage acts of kindness. We look to promote the charity through word of mouth, social media, printed material and a website.

To maintain and operate the village hall in Northop to provide facility for the community of Northop.

The choir has a professional musical director and accompanists who receive an honorarium. The choir rehearses once a week (Sunday evenings) and sings at concerts in the Chester, Wirral and North Wales areas to raise funds for various charities.

Educational, health, religious and community initiatives are supported, particularly in those local to North Wales. National charities operating in North Wales are also supported.
