Playing field for the Children of Llanrug

The property (Bryn Mynach) is held upon trust for a playing field and recreation ground for the benefit of children and other inhabitants residents at Nefyn in the Parish of Nefyn.

Playing field

Provides opportunities for young people,local schools and the people in the local community to engage in outdoor activities from this base. It is used as a base for schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions.

To promote and protect good health by providing assistance and support to sufferers of road accidents and their families by giving priority to residents of Dwyfor, and to buy or contribute towards buying essential equipment to aid rescue work by the local emergency services (including the Air Ambulance) in dealing with accidents.

To raise money for use in supporting childrens & teachers needs at the Primary School in Llanbedr.

To advance education by the establishment and maintenance of a museum. Without prejudice to the generality of the forgoing such museum to be principally established at Porthmadog with reference to the maritime, commercilal and marine and other engineering history of Gwynedd.

The Llanrwst Chamber Music Society, an educational and cultural organisation, is a small charity devoted to promoting instrumental string music among amateurs. Two to four times a year it holds residential weekend courses at venues in North Wales and Powys, for a maximum of eight quartets, or a string orchestra, which receive coaching in their prepared works from professional musicians.

Provision of a community asset.

Bryn-y-Paderau is a Memorial Park, dedicated to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in both World Wars. Situated off Brynhyfryd Road in the town of Tywyn, it provides a peaceful location where the public can spend time to rest and meditate. A short Act of Remembrance is held there annually on Remembrance Sunday.
