Community activities

THE PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES ARE PROVIDING WOMEN WHO ARE EXPERIENCING OR HAVE EXPERIENCED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE / SEXUAL VIOLENCE WITH A RANGE OF QUALITY SERVICES TO SUPPORT THEM AND THEIR CHILDREN. THIS WILL ENABLE THEM TO MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS ABOUT THEIR FUTURE. SUPPORT IS ALSO PROVIDED TO MALE VICTIMS. THE ORGANISATION ALSO CAMPAIGNS AND RAISES AWARENESS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE / SEXUAL VIOLENCE.

The Charity has been created to benefit the residents of Broughton in Amounderness, Preston, Lancashire and to undertake commercial activities on behalf of Broughton Parish Council for the benefit of the Broughton community, primarily by the application of Community Infrastructure Levy funds, held by the Parish Council.

TO FURTHER THE RELIGIOUS, CULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND SOCIAL WORK OF SIKHISM THROUGH COMMUNITY MEETINGS, FESITIVALS, ACTIVITIES & EVENTS. PROVIDE SUITABLE ACCOMODATION & ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH TO ENCOURAGE THE STUDY OF SIKHISM AND TO PROMOTE PUBLIC INTEREST / RECOGNISTION OF SUCH RELIGION / CULTURE IN THE LOCAL AREA.HOLD LAND / BUILDINGS UPON TRUST, PERMIT THEM FOR USE FOR WORSHIP / MEETINGS.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Provision of residential care services, Supported Living services, Day Care and Theraputic services and housing and Support to adults with a Learning Disability. The training of staff to enable us to provide these services to our main client group. provision of housing for the use of Supported Living

Providing grants or financial assistance to local causes for the public benefit and furtherance of education and higher education or training in business crafts of any person residing in the parish of Kirkby Lonsdale or the surrounding parishes known as the Rainbow Parishes.

Support & maintenance (inlcluding contributions to new buildings) of one Comprehensive and 3 Primary Church of England Schools in Lancaster City Area. Grants for educational purposes within 15 miles of Lancaster Priory Church & 8 miles of Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.

To make grants to registered cat charities who have sanctuaries in the Blackpool area, for cats neutered or spayed and identichipped at the same time.

We worship God and provide opportunities for fellowship. We nurture the musical tradition. We visit the sick and encourage prayer. We provide education in the Christian Faith and through our minister support learning and worship in local schools.We care for the church building. We support the needy at home and abroad. We keep the building open and offer funerals, weddings and baptisms.

PENDLE DOGS are a dog rescue serving the areas around Burnley and Pendle (All BB postcodes). We help with dogs who have been abandoned, are mistreated or need rehoming for some other reason.

Lancaster Methodist Church serves the city of Lancaster in NW England.We aim to be an inclusive Christian community, with a deep commitment to justice and peace, which affirms and values everyone.The main church building is on the A6 South of the city,The Cornerstone, used in partnership with various charities serving disadvantaged people, is in the centre of the city, near the town hall.

Community based gymnastics club with over 350 members, we currently reach out to various nurseries within the area as well as the local sports authorities where we host all gymnastics related events and competitions. We also provide weekly programmes for specialized disability schools, where they travel to us for weekly lessons.

The provision of administrative and logistical support for the Methodist churches in the Clitheroe Methodist Circuit.Providing opportunities for the member congregations to meet and maximise the Methodist churches influence in the Ribble Valley area and to work with other denominations in that area for the benefit of the whole community.

We are committed to enabling the community of Baxenden, Accrington to worship at our church. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer and scripture, music and sacrament.We try to enable ordinary people to live out their faith as part of our parish community through: worship, prayer, learning about the gospel and developing their knowledge and trust in Jesus.

Colne Citadel opens mon to frid 10 am - 2pm as an informal 'drop-in' centre for refreshments, light lunches and company, We hold craft friendship groups mondays( all welcome), lunch, social/bingo tuesdays, 'Nattershack' fridays free, professional counselling service is available. Breakfast saturdays 10-12. Various wellbeing and support groups held throughout the year-please see facebook/ website.

We accept financial donations via our just giving website. We buy all the presents via Toy Wholesalers. We raise awareness via social media & our web site. We work with social workers, drop in centres and schools to identify children in need of our help. All year we create Christmas sacks & and distribute the toy sacks in December, in time for Christmas.

Provision of facilities for other Christian organisations and/or churches to hold meetings, events, away-days etc. To provide an environment of peace and quiet for people to come on retreat or on day courses or business meetings, etc.

Preschool Playgroup

The charity provides recreational activities to develop people in sports and other leisure activities to improve conditions of life. It also develops skills capacities and capabilities using the outdoors, nature, and environmental activities to enable them to participate fully in society.
