HCA traditionally provided a wide range of lifelong learning/community development services (adult learning/early years/children & young people) & through the new Highfields Centre, it provides a wide range of arts/sports/advice services. Since 1/12/10, Highfields Centre has acquired independence, with the transfer of the building and all of its staff & services from Leicester City Council to HCA.

Shama provides a range of activities that empower women to become more active economically,educationally and socially to develop their confidence, language, employablity, physical and mental well being. Includes accredited training in IT, ESOL,Dressmaking, Counselling; holistic therapies, mentoring.On site Ofsted registered nursery. Women only sauna and gym.

MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF THE ORCHESTRA. THE PROMOTION OF CONCERTS ON ITS OWN ACCOUNT AND WITH LOCAL PROMOTERS AND THE PRESENTATION OF EDUCATION PROJECTS.

A multi functional community 'hub' organisation delivering a range of resources for community including: community transport, office & meeting room hire, play services, furniture re-use and training.

The church provides church services each Sunday at 10.30am. In addition a variety of other religious and social activities are provided.

The principle activities are:Counselling young people using volunteer counsellors working in schools and youth centres.Training volunteer counsellors in-house and using external trainers.Training school staff in relevant issues.Training young people in schools.

Rural Community Council ensures that all those who work and live in rural communities in Leicestershire and Rutland are provided with access to a range of opportunities, services and facilities, which are sustainable and inclusive to all and are empowered to influence and manage their future

we are a church involved in many programmes for the local community - with children and youth groups, and regular groups running activities for parents with small children and older people. we also have church members coming from many different cultural backgrounds and are recognised as a church promoting multicultural understanding.

The main object of the Gurdwara is to provide religious services to the congregation and its members.

The principle activities of the charity is to benefit the public by the prevention of alcohol and substance misuse; the provision of a stable and supportive recovery houses for people recovering from alcoholism and substance misuse (and the eventual rehabilitation of those people) and extended outreach to other alcoholics and their families in Coventry and the Midlands

The Circuit supports 12 churches by encouraging the churches to work together, by providing training for lay members and by providing youth workers. This support and leadership enables the following activities. WORK-LINK is a Hinckley Charity, based on the Recycling of furniture/electricals. It provides sheltered, meaningful opportunities to help unemployed individuals, who are not ready/able to embark on a more formal training/educational programme or to directly enter employment. It is an integrated scheme catering for a variety of people, many of whom have special needs, including mental ill health.

Al-Islamia Institute for Education provides education according to the EYFS framework and the National Curriculum in an Islamic environment suitable for all children irrespective of their background or origin. We aim to provide a quality learning environment and to foster and instil Islamic principles and spiritual and moral values based on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah (life-style) of the Prophet

Promote the social activities and well-being of young people

Offering practical help to those in need in Leicester & beyond. This help currently includes food, clothing, household items & personal support & training.

Food For All distributes around 6,000 free, nutritionally balanced meals to the homeless and disadvantaged on a daily basis. FFA targets the homeless, single parents, the elderly, the unemployed, people suffering from mental and physical disabilities and the marginalised. FFA is based on the philosophy of community self-help.

Religious and Community Activities

Various activities to promote and protect physical & mental health including:--Redistribute surplus food from the private sector to people in Warwickshire-Weekly health and wellbeing days for older and vulnerable people-Carry out Mini Health Checks -Plot to plate sessions, teaching people how to sow, grow cook and eat healthy food-Recruitment, training and support of volunteers

To improve the social, emotional and intellectual education of young people with special needs and to provide social activities.To run an outreach service in Leicester City and County to provide support for children and young people with special needs and their families and carers.
