Promoting interest in Devon's history and heritage by conferences, symposia and the publication of a journal. The society also encourages and offers support to those carrying out research into Devon's history.

The main aim of the P.T.F.A is to link the school and parents, by providing a means of contact, and secondly as a fund raising group to provide extras that the school budget cannot provide.

Fund Raising Events

We provide funds for necessary works at the Plymouth Hebrew Congregation's buildings for the maintenance of worship and for religious education.

Fundraising to provide additional items for the school - this year the major expenditure was on the outdoor classroom.

For the Public Benefit to promote the education and training of organists in the South West of England, to promote the appreciation of the organ and its part in the musical repertoire to organists,those considering taking up the organ and to audiences, both by providing educational events and courses and by offering assistance and encouragement for liturgically or for secular entertainment

Provision of grants to students for Higher or Further Education courses and who are resident within the boundaries of the City of Plymouth and parishes of Bere Ferrers, Brixton, Yealmpton and Sparkwell

Financial help to the poor and needy in the Plympton and Sparkwell areas of Plymouth,Devon including the consideration ofone off education grants for those living in these areas. Cases are assessed for their worthiness by the board of trustees.

Provide awards of up to 6 young people up to the maximum age of 25 every year individually or within groupsfrom the City of Plymouth in order to enable them to purchase equipment and/or for use in character building courses.Provide awards to schools' organisations and charities in order to help them with their projects in providing suitable facilities to support young people in Plymouth.

Academic Ear, Nose and Throat surgery conferences twice yearly, with public lecture every two years.Sponsorship of ENT surgeons/doctors to undertake additional training and academic study.

Organising and running fundraising events for parents and pupils, including school discos, cakes sales, tombolas and seasonal fairs. Providing and supporting extra resources for the school.

The Objective of the band shall be to maintain, improve, and advance the education of the public through the promotion and practice of brass band music.

Object 1 - To advance the Christian faith in accordance with the Statement of Faith.Object 2 - To relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind including counselling and support.Object 3 - To advance education in ways the Trustees think fit.Area - We operate primarily in Plymouth.

Operating of Postgraduate Medical Education Centre

Each year we organise two 10km runs, with all profits going to local charities. Each race attracts around 300 entries. The first race is held on the first weekend of January and the second is during March. At Christmas, we travel the streets of northern Plymouth on a Christmas Float, collecting charitable donations from the public. We also collect adhoc funds during the year.

This year, we have continued to raise funds through the provision of refreshments at key events throughout the year, a quiz evening and the 11 plus Practice Day.
