The Church in Reading continues to prosper spiritually through the meeting life, group and home meetings, blending of the saints with other localities across southern England, conferences and seminars sponsored by Amana Trust and Living Stream Ministry, and the daily contact of saints with one another.

WE RAISE AND DISTRIBUTE MONEY FOR NEEDY AND WORTHY COMMUNITY, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CAUSES. OUR PRIMARY FUND RAISING ACTIVIES ARE VIA: ANNUAL ART EXHIBITION, SPONSORED DRAGON BOAT RACING, PANGBOURNE VILLAGE FETE, CHRISTMAS FLOAT, WOODCOTE 10K RUN AND OTHER SIMILAR EVENTS

Pastoral and spiritual care of deaf and hard of hearing people in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. Runs a volunteer befriending scheme.

The Engine Shed is a special interest group for autistic children, young people and adults which was established in 2009. The group was set up by parents and carers in response to the lack of welcoming and supportive recreational facilities for our autistic children. There are two groups: one in Reading and one in NE London.

Individual instrumental lessons for 105 children & adults, small group classes, school music clubs, weekly curriculum lessons within school, Music School Sunday's, which take place once a month and Youthful Orchestra, an adult orchestra for rusty musicians, which also meets once a month. With all HMS activities bursaries of up to 100% are available.

The society works to advance education of the public in research into family history and genealogy, primarily but not exclusively within the boundaries of the pre-1974 Royal County of Berkshire; including Abingdon and the Vale of the White Horse. It also works to promote preservation, transcription, indexing and ready public accessibility of related records and information.

Sanskriti organise various Indian/Bengali festivities to highlight the multi-cultural facet of the Indian communityin UK, provide the Indian/Bengali community the opportunity to experience Indian/Bengali heritage and festivities away from their homeland and enhance social bonding and provide financial support and relief of poverty among disadvantaged children

To apply the income and capital of theTrust, at the discretion of the Trustees, for the "preservation, repair, maintenance, improvement, upkeep, beautification and reconstruction" of Churches of specified denominations in "Berkshire or in any Parish adjacent thereto, and of monuments, fittings, fixtures, stained glass and chattels in any sych Church or Churchyard belonging to such Churches"

The Church advances religion by the preaching of the Gospel, public worship within the church building, organised Bible studies, prayer meetings evangelistic events and meeting needs within the community.

NTC school De Droomtorens provides classes in Dutch language and culture to children in Oxfordshire and surrounding counties.

Activity. The Charity completed the building of seven single bedded flats on the 15th March 2007 within budget. Two units were sold to the Reading Single Homeless Project charity number 279859 and the remaining five are let on a twenty one year lease ending in 2026.In September 2017 a joint construction project with Berkshire Womens Aid commenced and is due for completion in December 2018

Torch Help Hub (Torch) utilises volunteers from local churches to provide a helping hand to those who otherwise cannot get help and tend to fall through the gaps of existing support or provision. We offer a wide range of free personal and practical help, as well as a Parish Nursing service plus signposting to organisations that we partner with, as we seek to love our neighbours as Jesus commands.

The main activity of the charity is to assist sufferers from arthritis to live more comfortable lives in spite of suffering from arthritis. This is done by way of grants to make modifications to properties in which the sufferers live. This could be the provision of a stairlift, providing a wheelchair or other equipment. The area covered is central Reading and the greater Reading Area

Providing swimming facilities for local community

We are the local Maidenhead and East Berkshire branch of the RSPCA. Our key aim is to find suitable homes for as many animals as possible and to provide proper care for those which have been mistreated or abandoned. In addition, we promote the works and objects of the National Society. We rely purely on the effort of volunteers who provide invaluable support.

Visiting Secondary Schools in the Reading area, taking assemblies, PSHE lessons, support CUs, running After School Clubs etc.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS AT THE SCHOOL.

We provide transport for persons in the Downland areas of West Berkshire who are elderly, sick or disabled or who are otherwise in need. We take people to Hospitals, Doctors' Surgeries, Dentists, Opticians, to social meetings and to anywhere else that may be appropriate.

Scout Group - Independent

Southcote Family Church is a free church which operates on Sundays and most days during the week.As well as Sunday services, there are weekly activities for the fellowship and for members of the community. The church regularly supports, both in prayer and in finances, a number of local and national Christian causes.

The Lions Club of Henley on Thames (CIO) exists to serve our local community and those in need in the wider world, through the Lions Club International Foundation, by providing support and financial assistance. The members also foster good governance, citizenship and friendship by participating in various fundraising activities, which will benefit the local community.
