It is the responsibility of the Minster Parochial Church Council to co-operate with the incumbent in the administration of the Ecclesiastical Parish of Reading Minster of St Mary The Virgin & to engage in the mission & ministry of the parish. This involves pastoral care, daily services, special borough & county services & numerous carol services at Christmas.

Regular public worship open to all. Providing sacred space for personal prayer. Pastoral work, including visiting the sick and bereaved. Teaching of Christianity through sermons, courses and small groups. Religious assemblies in schools. Promoting the whole mission of the Church through activities for senior citizens, young people, parents and toddlers and other special needs groups.

Currently Celebration Church United Kingdom has its main congregation in Maidstone and a number of church plants organised in 4 hubs across the United Kingdom. The church is headquartered in Maidstone. Sunday services are held each week and other activities/events run throughout the week to cater for the needs of children, women, men and the youth in order to advance the Christian religion.

Income consists of Investment Income and Property Income which is distributed to the St. Laurence Ecclesiastical Charities and St. Laurence Relief in Need Trust.

CIRDIC runs two day Centres. One caters for the spritual emotional and practical needs of adults who are homeless or in poor accommodation by providing food, clothing and warmth as well as medical and practical advice and art therapy. The second Centre caters for women with special physical and emotional needs by providing warmth, food, companionship and advice.

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

Advancing the Christian Faith by promoting and encouraging the Church of Jesus Christ, primarily but not exclusively in Reading and the surrounding area.

The promotion of the education of the general public in Reading and elsewhere in the performing arts, and the provision and maintenance of a theatre.

Donations to local, national and international worthy causes: Hospices, natural disasters, physically & mentally handicapped persons etc.

The Baby Bank collates together new and preloved items for families in need in the Berkshire and surrounding areas. Families are referred to us a variety of professionals who work in direct contact with the families.

The practice of music of excellence of all times, with special regard to the works of J S Bach in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by public performance.

Education/training.Girlguiding UK enables girls and young women to develop their potential and to make a difference to the world.The aim of guiding is to help girls and young women develop emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually so that they can make a positive contribution to their community and the wider world.

Home-Start is a voluntary organisation which is committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under five years of age. Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress in their own homes helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

PROVIDING COUNSELLING SERVICES TO MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY. WE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE YOUNG PEOPLE, WE HAVE SPONSORED WITH COLLABORATION WITH OTHER CHARITIES SEMINARS ON TEENAGE PREGNANCY AND HOW TO DEAL WITH THE CHALLENGNES ARISING FROM THIS.

For the public benefit, the relief and support of people with cancer, in Berkshire, and where appropriate online throughout UK by a) providing complementary therapies in acupuncture, arts therapy, aromatherapy, reflexology, massage, pilates and relaxation techniques: b) providing facilities for the practice of Yoga, Tai Chi and mindfulness training and c) provision of advice and information

To alleviate the hardship and distress caused by the breakdown of family relationships and to preserve and protect the mental and physical health of all the family, by assisting couples involved in separation or divorce to make future plans for themselves and their children. The charity additionally seeks to actively promote the well being of families affected by separation or divorce by providing

We offer creative and play therapy to children and young people aged between 4-16 years old in Berkshire and Wiltshire areas. This supports those affected by traumatic life events and struggling emotionally. We also offer one-to-one Counselling for adults, couples therapy and systemic family sessions. In addition to our therapeutic services we run accredited training equipping lives for good.
