Elevate is a coaching and mentoring charity that works with young people to improve self-esteem, raise aspirations, build skills and reduce disengagement with education and society.

Little Lounge exists to;1) help children and young people through recreational and leisure time activities and by providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities.2) benefit inhabitants of Cilfynydd (RCT) and the surrounding area.

To help young people, especially but not exclusively through providing the facilities for young people to participate in organised life saving as a voluntary vital public service and to take part in beach and water sports so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.

Central Glamorgan Girlguiding is part of Girlguiding UK - Girls can do anything. Within Guiding through fun, adventure and as safe space girls discover their potential and develop skills for adulthood. Through numerous activities, teamwork, leadership, and discussions. It helps them develop the skills and confidence and to make a difference to the world around them.

We develop the capacity and skills of members, both socially and economically.We help members living in the Rhondda Cynon Taff community in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs and to participate more fully in society.We collaborate with community organizations supporting veterans to ensure that members' needs are understood and addressed appropriately.

Provide Islamic library facilities open daily containing books & journals on Islam & other faiths, open to all. Islamic lectures, seminars and educational classes led by qualified teachers. The Charity's objects are specifically to relieve those in need by reason of youth, age, ill health, disability and financial hardship in Merthyr and Cynon Valley area, although this area may be extended to the adjoining communities if necessary. The Charity provides a 3 day supply of non perishable supply boxes to beneficiaries either directly or through agency partners approved by the Trustees.

Give our experienced musicians the opportunity to continue their skills .To support charitable causes. Rehersals at Cwmbach Junior School, Llangorse Road, Cwmbach, on Monday and some Thursday 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

Operasonic creates opera projects and performances with and for young people that are led by professional artists. Participation is at the heart of our practice, and we create new opera in collaboration with our young participants, based on their stories and creativity. Operasonic is based in Newport, South Wales.

We are a well establish Community Centre which is managed by a Board of Trustees. We host an array of activities and opportunities for both our community and our neighbouring communities. Activities vary subject to availabity, need and funding. We are currently working hard to re-engage the community in returning due to the pandemic and its negative impact on the centre.

Y Ffowndri provides volunteers and initiatives for community development in Church Village, Llantwit Fardre, Tonteg and in Rhondda Cynon Taff.

Society Objectives:-1. To promote animals and plants of the countryside, objects of geological, historical and archaeological interest.2. To promote the formation of Nature Reserves and to assist in their supervision.3. To foster interest in Nature Conservation through public meetings, film shows, exhibitions, publication of books, our Annual Newsletter, leaflets and general communication.

The promotion of the Christian faith and activities which support this through services, pre school, children and youth activities and Coffee Morning with Foodbank.
