The objects of the charity are to advance the education of pupils at Wells Cathedral School for the public benefit and to assist in financial assistance towards the maintenance and development of the school, raising money for bursaries for pupils and the provision of facilities and equipment to support education.

Religious Activities

COMMUNITY CHAPLAINCY WORKS WITH PEOPLE OF ALL FAITHS AND OF NONE. IT SEEKS TO PROVIDE PRACTICAL, EMPOWERING AND AFFIRMING SUPPORT FOR PRISONERS AND EX-PRISONERS BOTH PRIOR TO DISCHARGE AND ON RELEASE, IN ORDER THAT THEY MAY SUCCESSFULLY RE-INTEGRATE INTO THE COMMUNITY, REALISE THEIR POTENTIAL AND NOT RETURN TO PRISON.

We are a subscription organisation that undertakes various fundraising activities, ie run stalls, raffles; we also manage the hospital shop which is run entirely by volunteers, and we accept legacies & donations from the general public.

We are ordinary people, living real lives, making mistakes, experiencing joy and doing the best we can with what we have. We are each taking our next steps to becoming more like Jesus and helping others do the same. It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from or what you've done. You are of infinite worth to God and us.

Hakeford Woods operates a Forest School in a North Devon woodland. The woods are managed to enable a variety of activities for people of all ages including Forest School sessions for children, Wellbeing sessions for adults, family sessions, skills based courses and volunteering opportunities.The site is managed for a high degree of biodiversity.

Escapeline provides education programmes to children & young people, aged 10-18 years, raising awareness of child exploitation and grooming, teaching them what to look out for & protective strategies. We provide training to professionals in education, health, social care & police on child exploitation. We also offer parents awareness workshops, 1-1 parent support services and 2-1 youth work.

Recycling and re-use of furniture and electrical items in Taunton area. Free collection for resale at low prices to people on benefits and low income. Many of our customers are being resettled from temporary accommodation to new housing by local authority and/or supported by social services and local charities.

To prevent and relieve financial, educational, social and health poverty for people living in Frome and the surrounding areas. This will be achieved through the provision of direct services and through the support and development of other organisations in such a way that they are able to identify and meet these needs including a Food bank, Furniture Bank and community meals.

The Charity awards grants to individuals, schools, parishes and corporate bodies to further the following objectives: in the promotion of the education of persons involved with religious education; the provision of instruction and resources to schools and parishes; to assist persons financially so they can attend an establishment of further education to pursue their education.

As well as Sunday services, midweek activities include daily prayers, life groups, Girls' Brigade, youth group, a drop-in cafe, monthly communion and lunch, a monthly men's breakfast and dance in worship.
