The Collegium Singers (formally Taunton Camerata) is a chamber choir based in Taunton, Somerset Our aim is to give public concerts & workshops that improve, develop & maintain public education in the art & science of choral music. The choir numbers 25, is open to all subject to audition and gives 4-6 concerts a year in Somerset & surrounding counties, many supporting charitable causes.

Providing Housing for elderly ladies

Operating under the auspices of the Institute of Advanced Motorists IAM), Somerset Advanced Motorcyclists is a group dedicated to improving the riding skills and safety of its members through advanced riding development. The aim is to prepare members for the advanced motorcycling test conducted by the IAM. The group also works with Somerset Road Safety Partnership to reduce biking casualties.

WE WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DEVON & SOMERSET FIRE & RESCUE SERVICE / LOCAL COMMUNITES ON COMMUNITY SAFETY. OUR WORK INCLUDES, FIRE PREVENTION, ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR E.G FIRESETTING, COMMUNITY RESILIENCE AND SAFE DRIVING. WE PROVIDE ADVICE AND EXPERTISE, MAKE GRANTS TO LOCAL GROUPS IN NEED, RAISE FUNDING, ASSIST OTHER GROUPS TO RAISE FUNDING AND HELP TRAIN AND EDUCATE YOUNG PEOPLE AND OTHERS.

The PTFA is the Parent, Teachers and Friends Association. This is a voluntary group of people who run a number of events throughout the school year, both for fun, and to raise additional funds for Long Sutton CE School.

Management of village hall for use by village and others

The Trust assists a wide variety of organisations, financing the cost from personal contributions, donations and fund raising activities

Music Making in the Somerset area. The society gives approximately three public performances of a wide range of choral works during the year, employing soloists and instrumentalists to augment our forces.

FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, TO ADVANCE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN, AND APPRECIATION OF MUSIC AND THE ARTS IN ALL ASPECTS, ACROSS SOMERSET, BY THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC CONCERTS OF ARTISTIC MERIT, MASTERCLASSES, WORKSHOPS, EXHIBITIONS, AND TALKS, BY ESTABLISHED ARTS PROFESSIONALS.

We raise money for other charities by organising a variety of fundraising events world wide such as Bike Rides, Treks and Marathons. We also take Building/Mission Teams to Zambia, Guatemala and India to work on various projects.

Maintain and run village Memorial Hall

Fundraising and social events to serve the community of Halstock and the surrounding villages. This includes the provision Sport including badminton and short mat bowls, Artsreach presentations and meetings and events of several organisations and charities. Art classes, coffee mornings with crafts. Parties Flower Show.

The conservation and enhancement of the beauty and character of Mendip and the surrounding area with particular regard to landscape, wildlife habitat, archaeological, historical and natural features.

The Mendip Nature Research Committee, is a self-governing body. Its objectives are to advance education by the study and research of the flora, fauna, geology, archaeology, speleology and allied sciences principally on Mendip, and to pursue other activities outside the scientific sphere, as may be determined and promoted by the MNRC.

The object of the PTA is to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by:(1) Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.(2) Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education and experience of the pupils.
