To provide a hall for use by the people of Ilminster and surrounding areas in activities that the trustees of the hall deem acceptable

A rural youth movement for members aged between 10 and 26yrs to meet, fundraise for themselves and enjoy social events. Activities include drama, entertainments & pantomime at which the club excels, all sports competitions, public speaking competitions, stock-judging and cattle rearing, fundraising for local charities and skills/training. This is a member led organisation.

Rural Life Museum and Victorian School

The Mendip Nature Research Committee, is a self-governing body. Its objectives are to advance education by the study and research of the flora, fauna, geology, archaeology, speleology and allied sciences principally on Mendip, and to pursue other activities outside the scientific sphere, as may be determined and promoted by the MNRC.

Provides Scout Association activities for young people in the local area

Organise classical concerts in Milverton village church given by professional musicians of national and international standing. Arrange for the musicians to give workshops in the village primary school on the afternoon of the concerts.

Fundraising and Donations used to take Burn Injured Children on activity camps and family day trips

Raising funds for activities which supports the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it To provide and assist in the provision of such facilities or items for education at the school (not provided from statutory funds) as the committee in collaboration with the Governing Body shall from time to time determine.

Promotion of an annual competitive festival of the arts for young people aged 18 years and under. The charity also promotes other competitive events during the year.

The Trustees endeavour to manage Hadspen Village hall as a community centre for social, educational and recreational activity for all the residents of Pitcombe, Hadspen and Cole and the surrounding area.

PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF A VILLAGE HALL FOR THE USE OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE AND IT'S IMMEDIATE NEIGHBOURHOOD

The charity exists to conserve, restore and manage the Dawe's Twineworks heritage factory in West Coker, Somerset, and to record and celebrate the twine, rope and sailcloth industries which flourished in the area because the local soils were excellent for growing flax and hemp.The old buildings and machinery restoration is almost complete. We are building a visitor centre.

Fund raising for UK and overseas charities

Run entirely by volunteers the Museum is open to the public from March to end of October. Entry is free. The museum contains important items of local history including an iconic Hobby Horse and displays on Arthur C. Clarke, Minehead's Lost Pier and Punch & Judy amongst others. The museum runs talks and a charity quiz along with producing booklets on local themes

Supporting the work of The Blue School at various school events. Raising funds to provide additional equipment and resources for the benefit of all students, above and beyond the scope of the school's funding.

Village hall which provides venue for film club, table tennis ,yoga,knit and natter group to regularly meet. Also a venue for both Wayford and West Crewkerne parish council meetings. Throughout the year coffee mornings,bingo,jumble sales and quizzes are held as well as plays and music evenings.
