We support artists from all disciplines by creating time and space for the development of ideas and philosophies around artists' work through, residencies, producing, commissioning, exhibitions, debate and discussion, touring and publishing. We ensure all our work actively contributes to civil society, through education, participation, learning opportunities, conversation and debate.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPROVED GOVERNING DOCUMENT, WEST LEIGH BAPTIST CHURCH EXISTS TO OFFER A PLACE FOR PUBLIC WORSHIP WHICH IS ACCESSIBLE TO ALL PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY OF LEIGH-ON-SEA. CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE'S ACTIVITIES ARE PROVIDED ON SUNDAYS & WEEK DAYS GEARED TO THEIR PARTICULAR AGE GROUPS. A GROUP FOR CARERS AND TODDLERS IS HELD. SENIOR ADULTS ALSO HAVE WEEKLY MEETINGS.

The Association provides sessional and full day care facilities across three settings, for children aged between 2 years and reception age at local schools. It is Ofsted registered and serves the community within the Eastwood and St Laurence areas.

The charity provides respite for parents and carers who have young people with special needs in there care, also ensures a safe and heppy environment for after school clubs and evening entertainment for young people with special needs.

To advance the education of the public by providing digital and face-to-face training programmes for aspiring educators

The Trust makes grants to groups and projects with specific Essx focus and benefits. The largest group of grants goes to support of community and / or youth schemes within Essex. There has also been increased support for the elderly and marginalised within our society.

The provision of day care and support for people living with young onset dementia.

Provide free specialised support, advocacy and counselling services to survivors of rape, sexual violence and abuse in Southend-on-Sea and it's environs.

CAVS is a support and development agency for voluntary and community organisations providing advice, information, networking opportunities and training to promote and develop the effectiveness of the voluntary sector in the locality. We also look to identify the needs of the community with the aim of developing new initiatives and currently run a number of frontline services.

Performances (e.g. Youth theatre productions and schools outreach programmes), workshops and entering into new management contracts for the operation of theatres.

The Circuit is the administrative body for the fourteen Methodist Churches and two Mission Centres in the Southend and Leigh Circuit.

The provision and maintenance of a recreation ground for the benefit of children and young persons who have not reached the age of 25 years and are resident in the Borough of Southend-on-Sea.

The charity provides a wide range of activities to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people, including in the fields of the arts, culture, heritage, science and amateur sport, and other recreational and educational activities.

To promote the Jewish faith by:Providing and maintaining synagogues in or near Southend and Westcliff for the worship of the Jewish faith as an Orthodox Congregation and the due performance of rites of marriage and burials according to the princples of the said Jewish faith.Teaching and educating members and their children in the doctrine and practises of the said Jewish faith.

Age Concern Southend-on-Sea provides a face-to-face friendship/befriending service, telephone befriending, transport for older people to medical appointments, clubs, shops etc., a handyman service, wheelchair hire and a hearing aid battery exchange. It also runs a weekly community club and fundraising events and issues a local services directory and newsletter.

The daily activities of the charity are closely aligned to its goals and its policies and include:-. Conducting Christian meetings Running community projects including a playgroup and caf+-? Organising activities and groups Raising money for overseas missions Working closely with other Christian organisations.

Providing religious service & education.

Provision of Advocacy services for all eligible persons age over 18 who are a resident of Southend on Sea. Advocacy services provided: Care Act, IMCA, PRPR, IMHA, NHS Complaints, Child Protection(parent) and Citizen/General.

Religious activities

Team Up trains and co-ordinates volunteer tutors to provide tuition in English and Maths at primary and secondary school school level.

Advocacy service for learning disabled; Family Support Worker for families of learning disabled; Transitional Advocate for young people with learning disabilities; daily music sessions for adults with learning disabilities; sports club, music school, drama group, children's and young person's clubs and social club all for the learning disabled; also 3 charity shops and a coffee-shop.

To support, strengthen and improve the quality of life for Essex families with children and young people with any special educational need or disability (SEND), requiring quality advice, information, emotional and practical support, especially at the time of diagnosis or varied transition points. Through 'holistic' information, advice and support projects/services and range of family activities.

Free Adult ESOL classes, Friendship Group, Information Workshops, One to One support, Homework support for EAL children, health and wellbeing support for Asylum Seekers, Refugees, migrants and EAL speakers in Southend and Thurrock.
