The charity operates a pre school which is open to all the children from the community between the ages of 2-5 years. The pre school actively engages with the childrens' parents and carers through regular communication and feeback on their child's development and progress. Income received is reinvested in the pre school to improve the facilities and resources for the children.

The principal object of the charity is to offer support for visually impaired and blind persons and their families in Southend on Sea, Essex and the adjoining areas.

To advance the education of the public with regard to railways in particular by collecting,preserving, interpreting, documenting material evidence and associated information for the public benefit by the maintenance of a museum for items of historic railway interest from the Eastern Counties at Chappel & Wakes Colne Station, and the operation of a demonstration railway and associated crafts.

The purpose and function of the Church is summed up in the Mission Statement which is "to fulfil God's purpose in our community and beyond."

Our aim is to meet the needs of our community which include emergency food packs to people in crisis and also quality affordable furniture to the general public and working in association with other agencies to those who find themselves in need.

The Essex and Southend Sports Trust (EASST) provides charitable grants in support of sport in particular football, cricket and tennis. The geographical area in which it operates is the County of Essex including Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock and the London Boroughs of Havering, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham, Newham and Waltham Forest.

The relief of poverty for the benefit of people who are homeless or rough sleepers in Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding area, in particular but not exclusively, by providing short term accommodation and supporting and assisting those homeless persons who want to escape homelessness by providing signposting/advocacy and on-going support for up to 6 months to enable rough sleepers to move on.

Free Adult ESOL classes, Friendship Group, Information Workshops, One to One support, Homework support for EAL children, health and wellbeing support for Asylum Seekers, Refugees, migrants and EAL speakers in Southend and Thurrock.

The provision of food parcels and other items to those referred to us by local professional agencies/groups and who have been identified as in a emergency or crisis situation.

To promote within the ecclesiastical parish of Christ Church (Southchurch) and the community of Southend-on-Sea the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. The charity also has the responsibility for the maintenance of the Christ Church Centre complex situated at Colbert Avenue within the borough of Southend-on-Sea.

Regular parish worship open to all. Provision of sacred space for personal prayer/contemplation. Pastoral work: visiting sick/bereaved, funerals, baptisms, weddings. Promoting Christian faith through church school, group study/quiet days. Provision of halls space at affordable cost for community activities. Fundraising to support local centre for homeless people, hospices and overseas mission.

Supporting families living in crisis in London and Essex. All support is provided via a referral from a front line professional who know the families financial struggle.

The object of the Charity shall be to advance the Ravidassian religion in accordance with the teachings and principles of Shri Guru Ravidass Ji without restriction as to any particular mode of worship and for that purpose to provide and maintain a Temple for worship ("Temple").

To be dedicated, held, used and enjoyed as and for the purposes of a public park for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Borough of Southend-on-Sea and the recreation of the public area.

PROVIDES EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN OF PRE SCHOOL AGE

Aspirations Day Program offers women only service supporting women with multiple disadvantages and complex needs, including addiction, homelessness & have experienced violence & sexual violence women caught up in prostitution or living with mental health & leaving prison. We also offer a abstinence based 12 week recovery program for men & women recovering from all forms of addiction.

FAIRWAYS PRE SCHOOL PLAYGROUP PROVIDES PRE SCHOOL NURSERY CARE FOR 2 TO 5 YEAR OLDS, IT IS OFSTED REGULATED AND WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE PRE SCHOOL LEARNING ALLIANCE.IT PROVIDES LEARNING, SOCIAL AND A VARIETY OF OTHER SKILLS TO PREPARE CHILDREN FOR SCHOOL.

The provision of sporting, social welfare, and educational facilities for residents of Eastwood and the surrounding areas

Provision of legal advice, information, advocacy and representation on social welfare law and related matters.

THE CHARITY'S OBJECTIVES ARE:THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION WORLDWIDE AND THE RELIEF OF POVERTY.IT PURSUES THESE OBJECTS BY THE OPERATION OF A CENTRE FOR CHRISTIAN WORSHIP AT ITS PREMISES.

The advancement of the Christian faith as revealed in the Holy Scriptures and set forth in the catholic creeds and to which the historic formularies of the Church of England bear witness, primarily but not exclusively within the parish of Southend, St John the Baptist and to carry out such other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of Parochial Church Council, encourage church growth.
