We provide a large hall and several multi-purpose rooms as a meeting place for community groups/activities.

The study, investigation, description and preservation of antiquities and historical records in general and those of the historic counties of Northumberland and Durham and the historic City and County of Newcastle upon Tyne in particular.

The Trust provides grants to charitable organisations helping people in need in the historic counties of Northumberland and Durham. It gives priority to appeals linked to the Methodist Church as the settlor was an active Methodist.

HOPS supports people to deal with stress, reduce social isolation and improve wellbeing. Offering holistic therapies and therapeutic activities we support unpaid carers, older people, individuals with chronic health conditions and those living through difficult circumstances.Massage, Reiki and Reflexology therapies are complemented by group activity sessions (yoga, meditation, crafts, singing).

The charity's objects are specifically restricted to the following1) to promote and protect the physical and mental health of sufferers of dementia in Sunderland, through the provision of Social and emotional support, education and practical advice and 2) to advance the Education of the General a public in all areas relating to Dementia

We meet for: The means of grace . (1) For their own sanctification and strengthening (Acts 1, 14; 2, 42; 3, 1; 16, 13).(2) For power to witness of Christ and to declare the Gospel (A cts 4, 31).(3) For special guidance under difficult circum?stances (Acts 1, 24; 13, 3).(4) For deliverance for others who were suffering for Christ (Acts 12, 5-12).(5) For blessing upon others.

Promotion of health, the relief of poverty, advancement of training and social and recreational activities, provision of convalescence for the relief of sickness of beneficiaries.

Sarah's Star supports people living with incurable and palliative illnesses, as well as their families and health professionals in North East England. We provide a wide range of holistic therapies including meditation, massage, reiki, creative therapies, pilates and yoga. We also host death cafes and talks to normalise the conversation around palliative and end of life care.

The Trustees are responsible for the administration of non-public funds to provide benefit for all cadets in the Wing. Activities supported include Corps Sports (athletics, soccer, swimming, cross-country, rugby, netball and hockey), Leadership Courses, Nijmegen Marches, BTEC, Corps Music, Adventurous Training, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Competition Shooting (including Bisley) and Cadet Camps.

Activities such as fun days music concerts etc

The charity runs the Tyneside Pregnancy Advice Centre, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, providing support for women facing unplanned pregnancy. Services are free and confidential, and include information and advice on issues relating to pregnancy, parenting, abortion and adoption, the opportunity for a limited non-diagnostic ultrasound scan, and ongoing care and support for women and their families.

General charitable purposes

TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF GREYHOUNDS, WHIPPETS AND LURCHERS BY PROVIDING NECESSARY CARE AND TEMPORARY SHELTER AND BY PLACING THEM IN SUITABLE HOMES.TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE CARE OF GREYHOUNDS WHIPPETS AND LURCHERS. WE DO LOTS OF MEET AND GREETS TO MAKE THE GENERAL PUBLIC AWARE OF WHAT WE DO.

We have established a Christian Fellowship in a very needy area of Sunderland. We provide basic religious activities and reach out into the community to work amongst children and young people, women, one parent families and any other needs as they arise.

The Brigade provides a search and rescue back-up to HM Coastguard on a 24-hour, 365 days call-out system working in conjunction with RNLI Lifeboats and the main emergency services to help people in distress on and around the coast using SAR rescue equipment including special Land Rover fitted with a full range of search and rescue equipment and first aid facilities.

The Project operates in the west area of Sunderland, providing a range of activities/facilities and services to the Community. These include Carer and Toddler Groups, groups for older people, community garden, wellness and fitness facilities, disabled volunteer scheme, A690 young people's work, stroke rehabilitation programme, art and craft groups.

The Sunday for Sammy Trust raises funds via concerts and DVD sales which it distributes as grants to performers at the outset of their career who need financial assistance for training, fees, equipment etc.

The team was formed back in the 1970s as a North of Tyne Local Education Authority team in response to an increase in the number of incidents occurring on the hills and fells of Northumbria as outdoor activities such as climbing and hill walking grew in popularity. It became the North of Tyne Search & Rescue Team in the early 80s and more recently became the North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team

Parish support. Short breaks for those in difficult circumstances, support for women prisoners and families, school children in deprived area, womens refuge. Blankets, baby clothes, toilet bags to hospitals, support members overseas, literacy, development, health education, famine relief.

FOR KIDS WE PROVIDE, SOCIAL, RECREATIONAL,LEISURE ACTIVITIES,EXCURSIONS, RESIDENTIAL WEEKENDS,WIDER EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. FOR PARENTS/CARERS/SIBLINGS/FRIENDS, WE OFFER INFORMATION,SUPPORT,GUIDANCE,ADVICE,ADVOCACY, REPRESENTATION & WELLBEING. WE ARE INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH'S SEND "LOCAL OFFER".

To provide grants, donations, funding, material and any other forms of support generated from grants received and trading to relieve the sufferring of animals in need of care and attention.

To support BAME refugees and asylum seekers (mainly from Sudan, Syria, Kuwait, Iran, etc) and their wives with young children who are mainly economically inactive, unemployed or short-term unemployed.

Educational meetings and support are provided for Parents/Carers and Professionals who care for children with specific learning difficulties (dyslexia) and related conditions. Information and guidance is offered to families and individuals, and Conferences and Workshops are arranged. Dyslexia Screening, Assessment, Tuition and Group Activities are available for adults and children with dyslexia.

We play a unique role in educating women and enabling them to build new skills, to take part in wide ranging activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.
