This is achieved by, amongst others, undertaking benefit checks, representation at tribunals, disability awareness training, access auditing, life coaching and opportunities for further learning.

L. THE MENTER SUPPORTS, PROMOTES AND DEVELOPS THE WELSH LANGUAGE IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH ADULT EDUCATION, CHILD CARE CLUBS, ACTIVITIES FOR LEARNERS, YOUTH CLUBS, THE USE OF THE WELSH LANGUAGE IN SCHOOLS AND OTHER SOCIAL ACTIVITIES.

The relief of financial hardship amongst people in the Eastern Valley of South Wales and the surrounding area by providing emergency food, toiletries and household items to individuals and families in need and signposting to other advisory services. To provide such services with a Christian ethos, supported by churches in the area of benefit.

Provide Taekwondo lessons to adults and children of all ages and abilities and from all economic backgrounds. Provide access to a community gym that is available to all including disabled users. Provide other classes that fulfil our charity objectives by providing healthy recreation in the form of aerobics, legs, bums and tums, Pilates, circuit training and breakdancing classes. We provide a base.

The development of young people in the Gwent area within the policies, aims and rules of the Scout Association.

Hope GB is a voluntary support group which provides practical help and encouragement for people affected by autism, in Torfaen. We provide access to information and guidance on a range of issues. Hope GB has a passion for promoting an awareness of the reality of life with autism. We place emphasis on assisting the families and carers of people with autism, in the ways that are right for them.

The Church advances Christian faith by the preaching of the Gospel, public worship within the church building,organised Bible studies, prayer meetings, evangelistic events and meeting needs within the community.

The charity provides a range of support services to families who have children/young people with sensory, educational and physical special needs.

The objects of the Church are the advancement of the Christian Religion by the proclamation and furtherance of the Gospel of God concerning His Son Jesus Christ the Lord and the preaching and teaching of the Word of God and such other charitable purposes as shall further the attainment of this. Also to provide a place of worship in order to fulfil this.

Mountain Rescue Team

Providing Christian homes for people in need or those through social disadvantage have become homeless. Victory Outreach runs supported housing which includes a holistic approach to rehabilitation , health and well-being .

The charity operates Torfaen Museum in the borough of Torfaen. The museum includes an art gallery, and displays of artefacts relating to the history of the Eastern Valley of Gwent. Of notable interest is the collection of Japanware, which was a speciality of the Pontypool district in the eighteenth century. The Trust also provides educational services in the area.

To promote humane behaviour towards cats and kittens by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for such animals. To advance the education of the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering. To provide therapy cats to people who are in need as a result of disability.

We support children, young people, and their families, creating, facilitating activities, opportunities and developing support networks, for groups to access. We manage community facilities in Torfaen, these facilities support the communities we work with, providing a wide range of recreational activities as well as need based projects to support vulnerable groups in Torfaen

Little Sunbeams Playgroup is a community playgroup that offers child day care to all children aged 2-4years. We offer am and pm sessions along with full day care and a wraparound service to New Inn Primary School- Nursey. Working with multi age groups stimulate a healthy community with sporting initiative, a timetable of events from, weddings, christenings, birthday parties, midnight activity programme, School bus runs, education classes and courses from, computers, digital photography, breast-feeding, craft club, Monday club work programme, football team, netball team, and a successful walking bus programme.

TRAC2 is a crisis intervention charity that provides recycled household items to people facing hardship. TRAC2 Charity is also a Community Outreach Office that host multiple agencies enabling a safe and confidential place to meet. TRAC2 also have a charity shop that enables members of our disadvantaged community to purchase low cost, affordable items.

We care for and educate pre-school age children in line with national curriculum.
