Restoration of Bruton Abbey Park under Countryside Stewardship funded by DEFRA, using mainly but not exclusively voluntary labour, on hedges and wildlife sites, including fishponds together with picturesque landscape featuring Bruton Dovecote (H.T.) co-operating with Bruton Community Partnership and South Somerset District Council. Also vetting planning applications.

Support to young people preparing for or starting their first job

Promoting health education and provision of health care services to rural communities in and around Fulshaind village in the Golapgonj Thana, Sylhet, Bangladesh. Aiming to improve heath status of poor communities by providing access to health care, chid immunisation, family planning, safe water and sanitation.

Wigan Civic Trust seeks to stimulate Public Interest in the area;to promote high standards of planning and architecture,and to secure the preservation,conservation,development and improvement of features of general public amenity or historic interest. We have members meetings with speakers on many different topics, and committee meetings where we look at local planning applications.

Promoting research into Larngo-onycho-cutaneous syndrome (LOC) Dissemminatng medical knowledge of LOC. Advising families of affected individuals. Sponsoring young people/students on trips to widen their knowledge about children in developing countries and helping children educationally and medically eg. by teaching, building schools, fresh water supplies etc.

Provison of drop-in and outreach activities for young disadvantaged persons, using arts related activity to promote a return to education, training and/or employment

To provide the village of Shipdham, Norfolk with community facilities for the use of all village organisations and residents for sport and recreational activities. To also support the village Heritage Centre.

Campaigning and fundraising for Sale's future

Raising funds for charitable or community projects in the UK, and Aid projects in the developing World

We cover a large rural area.We orgainise social events to enable families to meet up to share information and experiences in a relaxed venue.

We have continued to support local Saltaire initiatives. We also regularly attend meetings with other Saltaire Partners and contribute to discussions on the Management Plan for Saltaire. A key piece of work has been our input to the Local Development Framework in terms of how it affects Saltaire.

Supervises facilities for a luncheon club which meet weekly throughout the year on premises owned by the local town council.
